a smidge about me: from virginia beach an went to college near dc. after a few museum jobs and some much appreciated and enjoyed US travel, I did what all 20-somethings do - got a job at a DC non-profit. I've traded car keys and road rage stare-downs for a smart trip and sassing creeps asking me my name on the metro. really guy, 8am is far too early to 'holler'.

working in the arts at a non-profit. had a brief stint as a french major but graduated as an art history nerd and knew museums and art would be my future.

inspiring young minds, as I did as an educator for about 2 years.

if I'm not wearing my snow leopard scarf or crazy sunglasses - it might be that I'm hysterically laughing, have a giant smile, or giving someone a laser death-stare.

reads: t.c. boyle's talk talk, anything by walter mosley or margaret atwood, art books, le petit prince and many french books...and of course nancy drew's guide to life.

movies: way too many to list, almost any foreign film - mostly french, some new ones thanks to a college film class. i'll always be a sucker for 'grease'.

music: the list is pretty extensive and ever changing but the usual suspects for the commute that keep out the sounds of the crazies are: q and not u, m.i.a, bloc party, tvotr, band of horses, rilo kiley/jenny lewis, feist, dfa1979, the decemberists, yyys, santigold, mgmt, liam finn, whitest boy alive, moving units, spoon, dr. dog, french kicks, interpol, lcd soundsystem, the rapture, some jazzy sounds, prince, whitney houston before drugs, mj before and after boys, dmb, stevie wonder, nina simone, the roots, heart, fleetwood mac, ew&f, bob, soulive, some 90s hiphop [read: salt n' peppa, push it], most oldies - anything that makes me tap my foot and shake it...

eats: not too picky and willing to try almost any types. fan favorites: mexican food in all its glory, most asian cuisine and anything spicy.
