My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I don't know how to describe myself in just a paragraph or two. I tend to ramble a lot, so this entry would be pages long.

I'm a bit of an eclectic (and yes, I realize that this word is endemic on OkCupid, but I am taking the lazy way out here) jumble of all types of interests and passions. One one hand, I consider myself an intellectual. I strive for academic fulfillment and try to experience and learn as much as I can possibly hope to do.
On the other hand, I recognize that I'm still young, and don't want to go gray before I hit 30.

So I guess I'm not quite sure how to summarize myself. Maybe you can get to know me and help me with that? EDIT: Apparently the Brigs-Myers personality test (which is all the rage these days) can do it for me. I'm an ENFP- The Inspirer. I share this personality with the likes of Dr. Seuss, Joan Baez, and Julie Andrews. I am SO pleased.

Just because it says I reply selectively, doesn't mean I'm ignoring people on purpose! Sometimes I'm such a scatter brain that I forget to check messages. It's one of my charms, I suppose.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm currently pursuing a dual major in both History and Psychology.
Guess what I'm going to do with it?
Medical School!
I'm driven to eventually curtail my undergraduate degrees into a becoming a doctor. I'd ideally want to go into reconstructive plastic surgery. I'm planning to open up a practice in the States as a facial plastic surgeon, and work intensively with the Doctors Without Borders program to provide pro-bono surgery on cleft pallets and other facial deformities.

When I'm not in class, I'm a member of my college's LGBT living house, SAFE HAUS (Sexuality Affirmation, Freedom of Expression House for Acceptance, Understanding and Support), as well as the President of The Alliance. I might also be found on the Quiddich Team, the Feminist society, The Sexual Health and Advocacy Group, or attending a bunch of budgeting meetings so that our treasurer doesn't have to suffer alone.

I'm also having a bit of fun here and there. I need to prove that I can let loose a little bit.

I'm also chronically playing:
NEJM's interactive medical cases
Artsy games that StumbleUpon suggests to me
World of Warcraft (read all about it in my secrets section)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
-Being Loyal
-Listening to others's problems
-Cheering people up by making them laugh or smile
So essentially, I'm a dog.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
- My voice. It's usually traveling ahead of me before I even walk into a room.
- My height. I tend to keep short friends, so I tend to tower over some of them.
- My moving hand gestures. Jews, like Italians, talk with their hands.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-Friends and Family. First and foremost, no doubt about it.
-A sack full of pipe cleaners. As a form of stress relief, I make little figures out of them. Sometimes they're people, sometimes I can make big boats.
-My laptop.
-Food. I mean, good food. I can go a while without a wonderful meal, but eventually I'll crack and have to go somewhere that isn't a cafeteria.
-Clothing. I don't obsess over what I wear, but sometimes a guy just wants to look nice.
-Glade Plug-Ins. I enjoy having my room smell like an exotic oasis, a majestic marsh, or whatever the label tries to tell me those chemicals smell like.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I think my lack of an answer here was actually kind of cute. I was too busy thinking of something to think about.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Lying to myself about getting homework done, but in the end I'm just going out to a party.
Or sometimes I'm sitting at home in my sweat pants, drinking tea and getting spiritual with some Aretha Franklin. Depends on the Friday.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a bit shy with messaging. I'm always willing to talk to someone who messages me (haven't ignored anyone yet, and don't intend to), but I usually don't make the first move. I'm working on it, though.

I'm also a closet gamer. Lok'tar Ogar.

Oh, and I automatically filter people out if they're discriminatory in some sense. We all have our preferences, sure, but drawing a clear line in the sand closes off so many experiences. When I see "No fats" on a profile, I cringe. When I see "No fems," my liberal arts education immediately jumps to the whole "internalized homophobia" thing.

My username is based off the Greek God of Medicine, Asclepius. It might be presumptuous to liken myself after the mythological father of doctoring.
