I am experimental, nerdy, and artistic.
My Self-Summary
Ah, this needed to be updated badly! And summaries were never my
favourite part of the book report.
I'm an espresso-swilling, photo-taking, web-developin indie rock
computer-nerd from the deep south making art in the frozen north.
It's kinda weird and I love it.
What I’m doing with my life
Just finished school - I got a degree in Computer Science. Totally
weird, but it was fun challenge. Dreaming of grad school for
photography someday soon.
Now I work at a hip little design startup in the East side. Loving
working with some serious good mates. In my spare time, making
photos and trying to get some sort of portfolio going strong.
I’m really good at
I hope I'm really good at photography, but it's damn immodest to
say so.
I think my cooking is tasty. It's ever evolving, that's for sure.
The first things people usually notice about me
Super curly hair? It's pretty out there. Sometimes clown-like,
especially if it's some gaudy color.
People comment on the tattoo a lot, but I think it's pretty tiny
and out of the way.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Music - Some crazy mix of indie rock and jazz-y jazz. Right now,
I'm deep into MGMT, Animal Collective (and Panda Bear, etc), The
Flaming Lips, David Bowie, Grizzly Bear, Of Montreal, Yeasayer, Bob
Dylan, The Pixies, The Unicorns, Justice
Movies - Amelie, Delicatessen, Science of Sleep, Rocky Horror
Picture Show, Dead Snow, Drag Me To Hell, loads of bad
zombie/horror actually, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. I'm a total movie
nerd; I love talking about them.
(Also Doctor Who and stuff from the Beeb, but those aren't
movies).
Food - I'm a vegetarian! I like cooking a lot - still teaching
myself how to make new tasty things. Huge sucker for good Indian
food (will seriously drive to Monroeville way too often for this
one amazing place). And thai. I love thai food.
Books - I don't read enough, and that is a crying shame. I love
Kurt Vonnegut - all of it. Confederacy of Dunces. Hitchhiker's
Guide. There's a real dystopic bent in my literature.
The six things I could never do without
My camera (Rollei 35 at the moment)
Film
Coffee
Cats. I miss mine so!
the Internet (all of it). Terrible addiction, and I pretend to be a
luddite, ha!
Time off to travel
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where I can travel next. I love roadtripping around.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends. In with a movie. Throwing a party. Relaxing
making pictures. Whatever floats.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I'm part cyborg. It feels funny.
You should message me if
You want to get a cup of coffee and talk about movies, art, and/or
nerdy computer things.
Or you know. Anything really. I like meeting people!
