My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I read books. I listen to the only radio station I care about in town (NPR - confession time, Diane Rhem has wonderful interviews and has such insightful and hard-hitting questions but I cannot stand the sound of her voice). I spend too much time perfecting recipes. I really only do laundry when I run out of clothes (and even then, it has to get desperate). I curse like a fucking sailor. I talk during movies. I fell from saying "totes adorbs" ironically and now say it with complete sincerity. I might die without twitter. A twitter friend once told me he read my tweets in Daria's voice. Come basketball season you will find me glued to every single KU game and spending a little too much time/effort paying attention to most aspects of college basketball.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've been unfortunately forced out of Lawrence by a lack of employment and have found myself in Wichita.
Its not the most fun I've ever had, but it gets the job done.
I definitely do plan on going back to school at some point, don't get me wrong. Some useless Fine Arts degree, I'm sure.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Seeing the big picture, putting people at ease, spending too much time on reddit and twitter, and hitting up the library day after day for the most part (I've always got another book to check out and one to return).
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've been told my smile is infectious and I want to punch everyone who says so in the face.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: All-time favorites are definitely The Great Gatsby and Death of A Salesman, but there's also the Sherlock Holmes series, what are considered "classics" so long as they're not Russian (I have no idea why, I just really can't get into Russian literature). Frank Portman is one of my favorite authors (and musicians, see below). The Phantom Tollbooth should be on everyone's list.
I love me some graphic novels and comic books HOWEVER I don't like superhero comics. Don't know what it is, I just can't suspend my belief in reality.

Music: Bikini Kill, Bratmobile, The Ramones, Green Day (Warning and prior), Vampire Weekend, The Black Keys, The Mr. T Experience, Pinhead Gunpowder, The Fratellis, and Childish Gambino.

Movies: Mean Girls (it's a work of pure genius), anything by Wes Anderson (because I'm a white girl, I can't help it), The Three Amigos, Stranger Than Fiction, and Rachel Getting Married.

Television shows: Community (hands down, the best show on television), Game of Thrones, Firefly, Doctor Who, Torchwood, and Downton Abbey. I didn't set out to love a bunch of BBC, just happened that way.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Books, KU basketball, my phone, my bed, my library card, Twitter.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How I'm beginning to get to the age where friends tell me they're pregnant and the proper response is "Congratulations!" not, "Oh shit."

Whether it's three or four minutes I would last in prison.

What I'm going to read next.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably working or at home watching television after working. Turns out I'm an introvert.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My guilty pleasure is watching Pitch Perfect and I may or may not have a secret love for this incredibly stupid One Direction song that plays at work.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You can enjoy a fun, intelligent conversation that meanders all over the place without necessarily having a point.

Just, please, when/if you message me, give me more to go on than a "Hey," or a "What's up tonight?" or something. I will literally delete your message and not visit your profile if that's all I get.
