My self-summary
I'm just another of the tall red haired geeks that seem to inhabit Silicon Valley.

I did theater as a kid (Theater geeks are a bit more wild than band geeks I still argue.) and use too many sets of parenthesis when I type. Don't get out much, but want to more. (Still recovering from moving up here.) Got a good career going, and just looking for more friends to hang out with and play with.

I tend to travel a lot, and have been to, among other places: England, France, Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Iceland, India, Japan. No, I won't bore you with slide shows, unless you ask.

I love the usefulness of high-power laser cutters, and am currently trying to make a side business of owning one and making strange things for people. (Ask me and I'll send you links to things like laser-cut roses.)
Bonus: If you mention that you actually read all of my profile, and can prove it by quoting this, if we end up meeting up for coffee, I'll hand you a laser-engraved dogtag. Your choice of color and text.

OKCpuid likes to call me 'greedier' than most. I think it's software needs adjusting, or maybe just a better term. I don't think of myself as greedy at all. (Though I see how that might not be believable. Does anyone think of themselves as such?) I give to charity, am always helping out my friends when I can, and certainly am too honest to lie, cheat or steal. I think why it calls me that though is that I tend to be fairly entrepreneurial. I started my first business (desktop publishing) when I was only 17 (had to argue with the city for a business license, being the first time anyone under 18 had tried to get a business license), and feel there is nothing morally wrong with making a compelling product that makes people want to buy it. (Again, see the above paragraph about laser-cut roses.) So please don't hold OK's poor choice of labels against me.

I am playful, thoughtful, and naughty
What I’m doing with my life
Working on finding friends to hang out with and lounging in the hot tub. Having loud and rambunctious parties at my house. (The kind where we play Apples to Apples with the kinkiest people we know, or just play Rock Band until our ears bleed.)
I’m really good at
Games, programming, making people smile and laugh. Entertaining with strange stories and generally being the center of a party. Being real and -not- a complete headcase. Being able to carry on a conversation with a hot girl while looking into her eyes instead of at her boobs.
The first things people usually notice about me
Height, and really long hair, red, that just reaches my waist. (Auburn, not the bright red hair, but natural still.) My rather sharp, yet playful, sense of humor. That I'm disturbingly insightful and intelligent.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Stranger in a Strange Land, Bone, Books of Magic, Boomer Bible, Sandman, Transmetropolitan, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.
TV/Movies: LotR, Kill Bill, Contact, Stargate, Babylon 5, Firefly, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Hellboy & Secretary.
Music: Queensryche, Depeche Mode, Heather Alexander, Enya, Pet Shop Boys, VNV Nation, Basshunter, EVE Online soundtrack, Dune, Evanescence, The Lonely Island, P!nk.
Food: Chocolate, coffee, vanilla! (Why do the three best things in the universe come from beans?) Otherwise if I'm traveling, whatever is local, Currywurst when I can find it.
The six things I could never do without
Playing computer games and board games. Programming. The Internet. Books. Travel. The sense of discovery that comes with learning new things.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Every little thing. Sometimes I analyze things way too much. But I like to understand how everything works. I took apart a lot of stuff as a kid and got yelled at for it often. I still take things apart, but now they pay me to do it!
On a typical Friday night I am
Inviting everyone over to my place for games and a party.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a flaming Dr. Who fan, and looking for my Rose. I love to travel, am often in the UK or Europe, but have a hard time finding a willing girl who loves to travel and doesn't make excuses when I say "How about we do a month in Germany?"
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 22–35
  • Located anywhere
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You're a girl with a thing for geeky guys with long red hair that you could spend hours brushing. If you can cope with a goofball like me, or at least would be amused by watching the antics of one. If you thought that Secretary was a great flick and the description in my "Most private thing" section gave you a warm fuzzy. If you are able to carry on a conversation with a wickedly intelligent male without that threatening you. (Bonus points if it turns you on.) You're at least old enough to drink, and would enjoy discussing the meaning of life over a glass of mead or a strange new cocktail we've never heard of before.
