My self-summary Propose an edit
I am not what you expect. I don't much care about what I'm
"supposed" to be doing. I figure out what makes me happy and I go
for it. Of course, I don't always figure it out at first, but I
keep working at it. I've found a passion in life, working with
animals, and am starting to make that my career. It is amazing how
such a little thing can transform your life. It's a struggle and
I've had to sacrifice a lot, but I wouldn't have it any other
way.
I am not one of the cool kids. I was one of the geeks. Hell of a
lot more fun being a geek. :) I never understood the desire to be
popular. I just wanted to laugh. You don't need a lot of friends in
order to laugh, just a few good ones.
I can't tell if I'm adventuresome or not. I've gone places --
Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Mexico, Canada. I love snorkeling and
scuba diving, I love exploring the outdoors, but I feel like
overall I'm a very mellow person and enjoy relaxing at home. Maybe
I'm just flexible and can take whatever life throws at me.
Is that a summary? Eh, good enough. It's a start. :)
What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit
I just moved to Tempe for a new job/career change. It's a pretty
exciting, but also chaotic, time of life. I finally feel like I'm
on the right track!
I'm really good at Propose an edit
avoiding questions about what I'm good at. ;)
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me Propose an edit
is that I look younger than I am. Most people think I'm 5-7 years
younger than my real age, and when I was 31, I was carded for a
rated-R movie (Borat).
My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit
Books: Plague Dogs. It's also the Saddest Movie Ever.
Movies: Serenity, Die Hard, Big Trouble -- pretty much anything I
like is comedy or action or both.
Music: NIN, Faith No More, Korn,
System of a Down, Disturbed. I'm also a sucker for 80s music, and
an even bigger sucker for 80s covers by rock/metal bands.
Food: Pizza, sushi,
Thai, Indian. I love to cook, too, I just wish I had time to cook
extravagant things rather than limiting myself to quick fixes.
The six things I could never do without Propose an edit
Ignoring the obvious (air, water, etc):
1) My family. Not that I have to still live with my parents :)
(they give me a hard time for living "so far" from home) but I
still have to stay in touch with them. 2) My friends. Again, don't
have to live in the same town (or country) but have to keep in
touch. 3) My cats. I
consider all pets family so technically, they fall under 1), but my
cats have to live with me unless I'm traveling. 4) My tunes. Music
soothes the savage beast. :) 5) My computer (with internet). 6) My
memories. I've
had so many cool experiences, I never want to forget!
I spend a lot of time thinking about Propose an edit
my dreams. Seeing
them start to come true brings a feeling which really can't be
described.
On a typical Friday night I am Propose an edit
I guess I'd say relaxing at home, but as soon as I say that, things
will change. :)
You should message me if Propose an edit
you're local, curious to get to know me better, don't smoke, love
all kinds of animals, and can handle an intelligent,
spunky woman with my taste in music. :)
