I am hilarious, quirky, and sweet.

My Self-Summary

I love to be around people and I love my family. Although I can be quite the talker I pride myself on my ability to listen and make people feel at ease. Sometimes I get lost in my own head. If it were up to me I would make laughing the national pastime. Music is vital to my life and often always playing, at least in my head. I worry a bit too much about the little things, like what I write in this box. (these are only the initial thoughts and should be considered a work in progress, just like me).

When I shower or get ready for work or when I cook or clean or even when I'm just killing time I love to play music and rock out, and yes there is even some dancing involved.

Everyday my idea of the perfect job changes. Sometimes I want to open a candy shop like the one in the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory with rich mahogany shelves and a library ladder and an amazing selection of sweets. Sometimes I want to be a Dr. and provide health care to those who can't afford it and sometimes I want to run a private practice. Then sometimes I want to have my own radio talk show in the morning with one of my best friends because we believe we are just that funny or at least we amuse ourselves. And then sometimes I want to open a porn shop with fantastic toys and demonstrations and group discussion nights and it would be called "Toys R Fucking Us", but I think I would run into some copyright issues. Occasionally I want to be a professor. Sometimes, most of the time, I have no idea what I want to do.

I really like doing and saying things to get a reaction out of others. Aside from being entertaining, I think its important to push people to expand their boundaries and start to think outside the box (where many of us enjoy living our lives). So this means that I'll typically talk about anything, but particularly enjoy talking about sex and naughtiness.

I love to sleep. Not only is my bed an amazing heaven of down feathers and pillows but more times than not I have crazy epic dreams that are vivid and enjoyable. I have a remarkable ability to remember fine details from the story line and it has taken me up to twenty minutes to attempt a retell of the adventure. I used to be really diligent about writing them down, but it started happening so much that I got out of the habit. I also have a tendency to use online dream dictionaries to research meanings behind themes or striking details from the dream. I don't take it too seriously but its always interesting to consider.

As much as I love to sleep, I love to be awake and experiencing life. I have a hard time saying no to most adventures because I never want to miss out on something exciting and fun.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm currently bartending full time in an Italian restaurant and working part time as an EMT for a non-profit facility that primarily serves chronic alcoholics who are homeless. Although these two jobs appear dichotomous they are both fulfilling in a variety of ways. I'm also studying for the GRE's so I can hopefully start grad school in the fall of 2010 for a Masters in medical anthropology.

I’m really good at

Having fun, making people laugh, giving advise, being serious when necessary, lightening a mood, making people feel good, kissing, listening, finding the good that people have to offer, and knowing the lyrics to random songs.

The first things people usually notice about me

My smile, or so I've been told. But in all honesty, my boobs. I love to wear, and pretty much exclusively wear, men's clothes but there is no hiding the fact that I have huge boobs and everyone loves to point them out. But who am I to judge? I do have an awesome rack! I am also a very outgoing confident person who will typically talk to anyone and everyone; for some this comes of as intimidating, but I'm not intimidating, I'm just chatty.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I would definitely describe my tastes as eclectic, especially in terms of music... I love Classic Rock, Motown and Disco. I love No Doubt and Marvin Gaye; Maroon 5 and Cream; Black Eyed Peas and George Clinton; Pink and Broadway musicals... I love pop songs with an awesome beat; something that makes you want to get up and dance or powerful ballads that make you want to sing your heart out into a spoon or brush.

I love TV but don't pay for it so I either catch up on the internet or watch at a friends house or buy the season after its all said and done. Shows I own/love to watch... Scrubs, Dexter, The Closer, Law and Order, Family Guy, Private Practice, House, Glee, Queer as Folk and Grey's Anatomy.

Movies: DEBS, But I'm a Cheerleader, Better Than Chocolate, Saved!, French Kiss, Fight Club, Fifth Element, Ellen Degeneres Stand Up (I don't know if that counts but I own them on DVD), Return to Me, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Monsters Inc., Shortbus, Hairspray (the remake; I can't help myself), most movies with my favorite lovely leading ladies (Sandra Bullock, Charlize Theron, Julia Roberts, Natalie Portman, Ashley Judd...I could go on), but typically I'll give anything a chance.

I love books. I love the smell of them and I love displaying them on bookshelves. I try to always have a book going; whether it be something fun and goofy (like by author Christopher Moore), or something scary and suspenseful. I enjoy thought provoking books as well and have quite a collection of academic books from my college days. But I will pretty much read any book recommended to me.

The six things I could never do without

1. tortillas (in my opinion there isn't much that can't be made better by a tortilla)

2. my family

3. friends (all the ones I've had in the past, all the currents, and all the ones I have yet to meet)

4. music

5. laughter

6. blankets (I love to snuggle and be comfortable in my big leather chair or bed)

I spend a lot of time thinking about

I spend a lot of time thinking about whether or not I think about things too much. I think about the future, mine and the world's. I think about who I am as a person and who I want to be. I think about what new creation I can put in a tortilla (it's important not to be too serious too much of the time).
