My self-summary
Well, as my name suggests, my name is Ashley and I am a runner (not a very fast one, but I like it). I am excited about my running plans for this year and just getting better at it. I actually just finished the Austin 10/20 and it was great. I love doing things like going to museums, dancing, dancing with myself, karaoke, trivia, board games, my snes, reading, trying out new recipes, decorating my bedroom (a work in progress), napping, sticking it to the man, watching weird movies on Netflix, creating new inappropriate names for coffee drinks, wandering around funky shops, wine, sitting on the porch and watching electrical storms, and travel. I have an extreme case of wanderlust and am awaiting my next adventure. I am also really spontaneous and like doing things at the drop of a hat. I am also an ENFP, but funny enough in undergrad I was an INFJ. Well, either way I kept the NF.

I am also in the process of losing weight, so my pictures will vary to show changes. I love living a healthy lifestyle and staying active, but maintaining a stress free environment is also important.
What I’m doing with my life
Working all the time. Seriously. I do find plenty of moments for fun and I like to go out and try new things or repeat awesome old things.
I’m really good at
Making people feel comfortable and awkward all at once. Singing. Getting really excited about things that are seemingly mundane. Making food, especially tres leches cake. Falling and bumping into things and then getting bruises. Writing (at least I hope so). Acquiring useless data to analyze for funsies (example: when I worked at a cookie place when I was younger, I did a mini demographics of cookies study where I collected racial/ethnic, sex, and age information to see if there was a correlation between that and their menu choices. Interesting results. I was bored.) Losing things. Faking accents. Being random. Finding lost items a year later. Being oblivious to people around me and saying the worst things ever.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my goofiness and ability to pretty much talk to anyone about anything. I am usually the person who says what everyone is thinking out loud and I get either a crazy amount of people looking at me like I'm on crack or that I just might be the most awesome person ever. If we are speaking physically it's probably my eyes or hair.

The six things I could never do without
Friends and Family
Books
Music
Burt's Bees Replenishing Lip Balm
A great pair of running shoes/socks
Great conversation
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where I left my keys, where I left my lip balm, where I left my phone, where I left my pants (probably at your mom's house), why people insist on saying "libary" instead library, all the different ways I can make chai even more wonderful, how other people grew up without having tortillas with everything, and how there is a direct correlation between driving a Lexis and being an asshat.

Just kidding, I don't wear pants.
On a typical Friday night I am
If I'm not working, I am either out with my friends or being a homebody and watching various things on Netflix.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a Domo blanket and I love it. I also compulsively take my shoes off first thing when I get home and by the end of the week there is a little pile of them by the door. I pick them up and start the whole process over again the next week.

I also used to teach at Xi Bei Da Xue in Xi'an which was...AWESOME.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 27–35
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, activity partners
You should message me if
You know where my keys are. Actually, if you are able to maintain a good conversation, are in awe of the beauty of simplicity, have interesting quirks, and love knowledge for the sake of knowledge. I am extremely attracted to very intelligent men. I don't like talking to someone and thinking "well, it's a good thing you're pretty." I also really want a symphony and opera partner! Not too many people are interested in either of those these days which is sad.
