My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I have a friend who lives in San Francisco and is obsessed with this site. He says that he doesn't have time to cruise bars for girls. He also considers this method a nod to the old fashioned art of courting and correspondence. So....I'm giving it a try.

I love seeing the world and experiencing cultures outside my own. I try to put myself outside of my comfort zone often. It's good for the soul.

I read more than the average person, am obsessed with the news, and indulge in perfumes and cosmetics--anything ladylike. I'm pretty independent as well.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a writer.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Writing, giggling, creating, reading, playing, snuggling.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My blue eyes and my hair. People say I have great hair. I'm pretty happy with both. I am also quite tall for a lady--so people usually notice that. And I laugh a lot, say inappropriate things at the wrong time, and come across as rather bubbly. Don't mistake my charm and friendliness for something it's not; I'm quite cunning.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: The Monkey Wrench Gang, Lolita, As I Lay Dying, The Call of the Wild, The Stranger, The Odyssey, and many more. I don't want to tell you about all of them--what will we talk about in the future?

Movies: Clueless, Mean Girls, High Fidelity, Almost Famous, Some Like It Hot.

Shows: As in TV? Mad Men, Daria, The New Girl, just about anything on AMC, also digging that new show--Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23.

Music: Garage, Nu Folk, Anything lo-fi, french electro pop, riot girrl bands, west coast surf rock and a healthy helping of Pitbull, Chris Brown, Lady Gaga and all the good dance jams.
Bands I'm into: Yelle, Best Coast, Jonathan Richman and the Modern Lovers, Arcade Fire, Vivian Girls, Beaches, Thao With The Get Down Stay Down, Mirah, Goldfrapp, Peaches, Sleigh Bells, M. Ward, Jim James, Calexico, Sonic Youth, Thurston Moore solo stuff, Black Lips, Broken Social Scene, Crystal Castles, Fleet Foxes, The Kills, Of Monsters and Men, The White Stripes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Le Tigre, and The Aaliyah Pandora Station--trust me, it's everything good about the 10th grade and none of the awkwardness. I think you get the message--I like music a lot.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Sunshine, hot showers, notebooks, a good salon, laughter, live music.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My family. My job. My friends. Ways to make myself happy. Books I should read but probably won't. Recipes I might want to cook but don't know if I'll have time. Why people believe everything they hear/see on TV.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
My Friday nights are never typical.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Ok, for that one, you'll have to meet me.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You can keep up with me in a conversation; are outgoing enough to enjoy yourself at a party with people you don't know.; don't need to be wasted to have a good time (but it's nice if you enjoy a quality drink or two when the moment strikes); take your professional life seriously; value education; value women; and dig college radio.
