About me: Funny, smart, attractive, slender/average body size
(really - I'm not stick thin, nor am I at all overweight), love and
get along with my family, financially independent. My life is not
lived in extremes; I'm pretty moderate about most things -
politics, food, exercise, religion, etc.

What I’m doing with my life
I live on an incredibly beautiful island northwest of Seattle, and
I am an elementary teacher. I enjoy reading books, kayaking,
walking, singing, and going to movies or out to dinner with
friends. I volunteer in my community, am in frequent contact with
far-flung relatives, and have two cats. I really enjoy traveling,
especially road trips.
I’m really good at
teaching, singing, being a mom (I have one young daughter), and
killing plants. I apologize to plants before I buy them.

Music: The Beatles, James Taylor, Keane, Mozart, Sheryl Crow, the Dixie Chicks
Books: All time favorite is "To Kill a Mockingbird". I think "Wuthering Heights" sucked, and am still unclear why so many think it is so great. Also love "The Giving Tree", "The Straight Dope", and "Legacy".

The six things I could never do without
I would have a difficult time without a deep bathtub, a toothbrush
and toothpaste, a good book, my favorite jeans, and my computer.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
my daughter and my work.
On a typical Friday night I am
watching a movie, riding the ferry, reading a book, or out with
friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I have a love affair with stale marshmallows. Stale candy corns
taste good, too. I know, it's weird....don't ask me why!
