My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm just a regular, every day, normal guy.

Part of me wants to be a stand-up comedian one day, but the rest of me doesn't want to deal with the crippling loneliness that comes with the lifestyle.

This profile is off to a great start, I know.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Finishing my degree in Broadcast Journalism at UH. Maybe one day you'll be hearing me on the NPRs!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Eating pistachios, applying chapstick, killing time, and singing in the car. I'm not saying that I have a good voice.

Also I've learned that I'm really good at not updating this profile. You should probably take this whole page with a grain of salt because there's a chance that it's wildly outdated.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes, the scar on my lip, or my laugh (I've been told I sound like Stanley from The Office. Or the guy at the end of this (great) video ).

Or my total and complete lack of a butt.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books - anything by Stephen King or Douglas Adams. Typical guy answer. I also enjoy just about anything by Malcolm Gladwell, but that's less of a guy answer and more of an "I took a sociology class once that had me read Outliers and I've been hooked since" answer. Currently, I'm reading the Wool series (great new Sci-Fi if you're unfamiliar) whenever I get the chance. I love my Kindle.

Movies - Aladdin, Pacific Rim (greatest movie ever made), Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Before Sunrise/Sunset/Midnight, various musicals, various Disney. Still a man. Deal with it.

Music - Mostly folk-y stuff (Bob Dylan, Tallest Man on Earth, The Head and the Heart (borderline folk but I love them)) with a bit of Bruce Springsteen (anyone who has spent enough time around me has heard me 'perform' at least three of his songs karaoke), CAKE, Dr. Dog, Harry Nilsson, Tears for Fears, Wilco, The Black Keys, Billy Joel, The Postal Service, Vampire Weekend. I listen to a LOT of 90s alternative/rock/pop. It's kind of a thing. I bought a turntable a few months ago and I'm trying to build up my collection. Turns out it's tough.

TV - Don't talk to me about anything other than Breaking Bad right now.

Food - I love Tex-Mex a lot. A whole lot. Sandwiches are super cool.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
In no particular order:
- The Internet
- My beard
- Dogs
- Ginger ale
- Frosted mini wheats
- Coffee
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My future.

I know, right?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably netflixing, Midtowning, Montroseing, sleeping, dogwalking, or any combination of those things. Hopefully karaokeing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I hate the way my toes look.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over. won't judge me for the whole karaoke thing (which extends to singing in the car (it's a bigger deal than you think)).
