My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi guys -- I'm here to give this a shot and see what comes of it. Though I'm a Midwesterner by birth, I got transplanted to Georgia at the age of 11, and I've been an adopted Southerner ever since. I've moved around a bit, living in Chicago, DC, Seattle, and San Francisco for various amounts of time --- but I always ended up back in Atlanta. I moved back again in May 2007, and have lived in Midtown ever since.

I've got the requirements of a stable and fulfilling life... job, car, condo... and most especially -- a loving, supportive family and some great friends -- now looking for someone to share that with.

I'm at the point in my life where I want to find someone with whom I share that 'click', 'spark', or whatever you want to call it. Although I enjoy the occasional night out (usually Burkharts, Amsterdam, or something similiar), a night at home curled up with a movie, a take out dinner, or some time in front of the Wii, PS3, or Netflix sounds just as nice.

I'm a romantic, and I love to do thoughtful things for the person I'm with. However, I also expect a little reciprocation... it's not a one way street, ya know ;)

I'm pretty well traveled... a result of my previous career as a flight attendant. I don't fly for a living anymore, but I still travel quite often for work and pleasure. I'd like to meet someone who has either been to a few places or would like to explore some. Still working for an airline, just in management now, so I've got the buddy passes to spare...

Also, I love board games, video games, computer games. I'm not an addict, but I do want my Warcraft or Diablo fix every now and then. I won't expect that of you (though it would be nice to find someone equally geeky in that way), but at least be a sport and play a round of Guitar Hero with me ;)

So -- if anything I've said interests you, send me an email. Hope to hear from you soon.

I am Thoughtful, Inquisitive, and Loyal
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working. Travelling. Learning. Exploring. Having fun. And looking for someone to share it with
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Games (not the mind sort, but the video and board sort)

Collecting airline junk (I love it...)

Reading (always have a book in tow)

Smiling (better than frowning)

Being on time (ugh... something of a pet peeve, actually)

Math (nerd alert!)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a little quiet and/or reserved, which can sometimes come off as standoffish/rude. I don't mean for that to happen, but I guess I've just always been more comfortable with being the approachee.

Or, my green eyes. (which sometimes look blue... or gray.)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Hmmm... would it be too much of an imposition for me to ask you to go check out facebook? ;) the username is chernstrom.

Generically, sci-fi/fantasy or pop fiction. Especially David Sedaris, David Brin, Kevin J Anderson, Stephen Baxter, Douglas Coupland, Neil Gaiman, and many others.

Movies... again, sci-fi is great. Star Trek, Independence Day, Star Wars, Matrix, etc... but also like romantic films and tearjerkers like Love Actually, Beaches, and so on. Just saw The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and it immediately joined my favorites list. Also, LOVE Sigourney Weaver (Heartbreakers, Alien, Avatar, Jeffrey, GalaxyQuest....)

TV - BSG, Star Trek (not so much the original series, but all the others), Arrested Development, Game of Thrones, Golden Girls, Will & Grace, Modern Family, Girls, Veep, The Walking Dead, Rome, True Blood (Pam and Eric!), Downton Abbey
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) friends/family (no brainer)
2) iPhone/gadgets
3) video games
5) internet
6) Ben & Jerry's frozen yogurt
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
where my life is going and what I hope for the future. Things are good at the moment... hoping to meet someone who wants the same things out of life that I do.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either out with friends or curled up on the couch with some sci-fi and/or Cartoon Network. (Assuming I'm in town, that is -- love to travel as well.)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I actually still listen to the Spice Girls from time to time.

I'll also admit that for some reason I get annoyed with people who answer this question with "that's private" or "not gonna tell you online" or some such answer. The question is not asking you to reveal your most private thing -- it's asking you for the most private thing you're *willing* to admit. Do you see the difference? So if the most private thing you're willing to admit is that you eat Cheerios for breakfast -- then put that down. But c'mon! Put *something*!
