Wayward Texan. I'm the sort of girl who:
-Misses her family fiercely but is too stubborn to move home and rarely calls.
-Learned to ride a bike at 28 and feels its the best thing she's ever done. It's like having wings.
- MIght surprise you with the contents of her backpack.
- Wants to grow food and herbs but has a black thumb and no space.
- Doesn't like fruit bits in alcoholic drinks. In fact, if it's sweeter than a whiskey and ginger, just keep it.
- DOES like fruit bats, but not in alcoholic drinks.
- Is kind of clumsy but goes careening around on two wheels and climbs on everything anyway.
- Has fractured her cheekbone in a story that involves a cat and a doorframe. Has also gotten a concussion in a story involving a frog and a 2x4. Animals will be the death of me.
- Cant get anything done without making a list.
- Firmly believes Legend of Dragoon was better than FF7 and will fight you about it WITH FISTS.

I work at a weird museum in manhattan. I now also work at an awesome coffee shop in Brooklyn!

Also: cycling, for fun. Cutting back and back on material possessions, attempting to minimalist and simplify. Plotting tattoos, enjoying the BK life and not being in Madhattan. Teaching myself Korean and Hangul.

Threading needles, cat bothering, marathoning 90s sci-fi, making lists, verbing your nouns, getting lost. REAL good at being lazy about actually learning Korean.

"Your nose ring is askew". Update: I got crazy on my hair. So my hair. Or possibly as far as, if they are familiar, "chubby tank girl". Update update: yeah it's my hair. After an hour at a table last night, our waitress said "wow, you're really pretty! I didn't notice because I just saw your hair!" ... Uh thanks?

Books: Just finished Watership Down for the 5th time. Still cried at the end. Now reading Another Roadside Attraction by Tom Robbins. Favorite authors/poets: Bukowski, Dumas, Gaiman, W. Gibson, Gladwell, Jack Gilbert, Neruda, Louise Gluck, Adams, Marquez, Bradbury, Huxley.

Movies: last 3 movies watched: Edward Scissorhands, Herzog's Grizzlyman, and House of the Devil. Horror riles my heart. I saw Hellraiser in the theater when I was 4: it's kindof shaped my media choices. I love everything except romantic comedies: I only like those sortof.

Shows: raised on British comedies and Liquid Television. I tend to pick a series and marathon through it. Star Trek. All of it. ALL.

Music: I'm bad at sticking to genres so here are noises I like: wooshy, crunchy, fuzz, whaaa, shredding, trills, screeching, hums, buzzing, synth, heavy beats, longing. I also have a super soft spot for early 90s dance music and classic metal. I will admit to having lyrics from The National tattooed on me, as well as a Murder City Devils tribute, and planned tributes to The Joy Formidable, The Cure, Andrew Bird and Depeche Mode.

Food: I don't like food. I LOVE IT. Baby vegan here, only about 2 months in on no meat, 1 month no animal anythings. My reasons are my own, if you eat meat, fine. I don't really care. Having friends who are veg helps A LOT so please message me if you want to help me on this journey just by being a positive influence for change.

Clothes, if only for public use. Water? Plant-derived proteins?

I think I could do without a lot. I'll say, for now, my bike. Or a bike, but I like mine best. And a cat. Again, I like mine best but realize that they have expiration dates.

Brain chemicals. Tattoos, cats, cartoons, why am I not asleep yet? Can I climb on that? Where am I? Is the best way to learn how to build bikes to take mine apart and put it back together? Transhumanism, nootropics, magnetic implants. Raccoons and ice cream. Dudes and smooching.

Ahh, I don't really measure my life in days any more?

I'm not fond of babies and I have no religious beliefs one way or the other, but if Satan showed up and was like "hey, girl," all Ryan Gosling like, "You're gonna have my demon baby and set the apocalypse in motion" I'd be down. At least that way I'd have a VERY CLEAR purpose in life.

But seriously, part of me gets way intimidated by well-written, super attractive folks here for whatever reason (it's the goddamned Internet fercrissakes), so if i visit your profile more than twice, I probably wanted to message you then chickened. I'm not such a coward in person. Weird reversal, huh?

Just do. But be creative. You get what you give.

NEW GOAL FOR THIS SUMMER: I want people to come dance with me to Soul Mining (entire album) by The The, on my roof, or a roof, at least once a month until the cold winds come. Then, we will put on jackets. Also acceptable: The Waterboys.

Also! Everyone on here is a "laid back, easy going, down to earth guy". That's cool, but come at me, space cadets! There's a time and place for laid back, but sometimes I need an adventure buddy who isn't afraid to break some laws and I need you to have a sense of urgency so we get caught less.
