My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a native New Yorker. I'm a lawyer for children. I haven't any siblings. I'm a lot more than the sum of all my parts. Or not, I'm not as good at math as I used to be, hah.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I grew up in New York City and spent four years studying in Montreal. I miss that beautiful city, but NOT the 10-month-long winters. Thanks Canada for helping me to discover the exact temperature at which nose hairs freeze -- awful.

Two years ago I landed my dream gig. I'm still at it. I like to think I'm one part lawyer, two parts social worker -- far from your average lawyer. I'd love to tell you all about it here, but I could never do it justice (no pun intended, seriously). I look forward to sharing more in person!

As much as I love my job, my life is not all serious -- far from it -- I play basketball in a community league in my free time, and love to spend weekends with friends all over the city, outdoors as often as possible.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm pretty physically active (someone once read this as "physically attractive" -- haha, I hope you learn that I don't have it in me to be that arrogant).

Meed a ringer for your co-ed team? Like to go for a run? A bike ride? I've just fallen in lust with yoga.

I just dusted off my saxophone and keyboard (teach me how to play a little piano?).

Plus, I can absolutely throw down in the kitchen. Talk is cheap, I'll show you!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Blue eyes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Do not hold me to these, there are too, too many:

Book(s): The Bluest Eye (Toni Morrison), Siddhartha (Herman Hesse), Poisonwood Bible (Barbra Kingsolver)

Movie(s): Do the Right Thing (Spike Lee), Shawshank Redemption (Stephen King)

Music: Mos Def, John Coltrane, The Roots, Charles Mingus, Talib Kweli, Nas, Ella Fitzgerald, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Lauryn Hill, Gil-Scott Heron, Otis Redding, Tupac...

...made be think of: "seen a show with Marvin Gaye last night, it had me shook, drinking peppermint Schnapps with Jackie Wilson, and Sam Cooke. Then some lady named Billie Holiday sang, sittin there kickin it with Malcolm, 'til the day came." Name it and I'll buy you dinner (it's fitting, food's next, ha).

Food: Italian food, but really.. everything, seriously everything.

Shows: The Wire is, without a doubt, the best-ever TV series -- I miss each and every character -- it's as if I knew them once. And without HBO, I need someone to help me catch up on Game of Thrones and Newsroom. I'm currently savoring The West Wing for the first time!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My senses. More to come... details not senses (hmmm, what would I do with more senses?).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to fix things, big things, like the world.

Also, where I'm going to spend my next vacation, who I'm going to spend it with. I spend several hours on when planning one -- seriously, check it out only if you have a whole lot of time to kill.

My ideal partner would look forward to spending a weekend camping just as much as a trip to an exotic beach -- better yet, camping on an exotic beach.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Likely laying low with a few friends -- pretending we haven't gleaned most of our criticism of the sad state of politics from Jon Stewart.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm very open, have no secrets I can think of -- ask away.
