My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Sophisticated/dorky city girl that likes good food. Pretty simple but that's me. Basically you're classic Capricorn. If you want more, I can tell you what my friends have told me: I'm genuine, honest, caring, considerate, sensible, smart, and a total dork (once I'm comfortable with you). I'll laugh heartily at the right joke and at the right person's expense (you shouldn't easily be offended). I say "freakin" and "dude" a lot, and never say "hella". I used to be an introvert but have kind of grown out of that over the last few years. I've only gone camping once. Don't get me wrong, I do love nature and will go hiking with the right weather and company. I just prefer showers and beds :) I wouldn't be the life of the party but I'll keep you engaged provided you know how to have a conversation.

I'm looking for someone to have a conversation and connection with. Texting has taken over our lives. If you want to connect with someone, how do you do it with words on a screen? I'd like something committed and real, when showing each other you care is effortless. When you call someone just to hear each other's voice. When you smile just thinking about the last time you were together. When you want to just pull them into a doorway and make out like teenagers.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Steadily advancing in my career, cooking and eating yummy food, enjoying time with my family and friends, watching my nieces grow up, enjoying adulthood
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Laughing at myself, following directions, making people laugh, being goofy, enjoying the little things in life, and getting that damn song stuck in your head. Or in my own head.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My smile and infectious laugh.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: The Wheel of Time, Harry Potter series. I used to read a lot and bought a Kindle to get my fix but it's tough to get back into it after reading work emails all day. I'll read George RR Martin someday.

Movies: The Princess Bride, I Love You Man, When Harry Met Sally, almost any Tarantino film, BTTF (all 3), LOTR, Coming to America, Spaceballs. I used to be able to recite lines from Spaceballs... what am I saying? I still can.

Shows: HIMYM, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Chopped, Breaking Bad, Dexter (despite the ending, ugh), Sherlock, Suits

Music: my tastes are currently indie-flavored. A few of the concerts I've been to: Erasure (first concert ever in '96), New Order, Janet Jackson, OMD, Fitz and the Tantrums, New Kids on the Block (yes, NKOTB; don't hate, appreciate).

Food (yes, please!): real Chinese food, Vietnamese, Japanese, Californian, French. Eggs Benedict is my all-time favorite breakfast/brunch item.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. family/friends/people I care about
2. inner peace
3. full belly laughs that drive me to tears
4. my sense of taste
5. my sense of humor
6. hope and purpose
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What I'm going to cook/eat next, when and where I would go on my next vacation, and when I would finally go to Europe. Must travel! Update: went to London and Paris for two weeks in July.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Enjoying a glass of wine with good company or decompressing at home with some jazz after a long week. Some nights aren't so typical.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I took a Fortran class in college.

You know that "converse" is also a verb and not just a brand of shoes.
