I am amusing, clever, and musically inclined.

My Self-Summary

Caroline: singer, writer, artist, slacker, fandom fiend

To begin with, I'd like to clarify something: I am a bi-romantic asexual. This means that no, I don't like sex or anything resembling it in regards to myself; yes, I like guys and girls and everything in between; no, this does not mean I like you. I'm fine with other people having sex - go on, have fun! - it's just not for me. : )

I'm pretty casual and don't really like to be serious a lot. Life's short and all that. My life is completely dominated by music. My default genre is classical, mostly Romantic (Verdi, Donizetti, Schubert) or 20th Century (John Adams, Aaron Copland, etc., and have a burgeoning love for atonal music) with some Classical thrown in (Mozart, Haydn). I love pretty much theoretical anything, especially physics; I'm really interested in science, but in more of a "why does this work like this?" kind of way. I find the topics of religion and spirituality fascinating. About the only topics I'm incapable of being logical about are homosexuality and equality: I think both are good and show be respected and/or upheld, and no, you can't convince me otherwise.

For the most part, I'm a pretty open person, especially when it comes to my opinions (but only if you ask!). I like to laugh a lot and have a sense of humor not everyone gets (dry, sarcastic wit can go right over some heads). I'm fluent in treble clef. I'm really geeky and love comics and video games, but I'm really into fandoms and writing. I love Harry Potter, Discworld, due South, Sailor Moon (and have since I was nine), Please Save My Earth, and Good Omens fandoms. I'm thinking of getting into some new ones, too (maybe Stargate SG-1).

I'm not really that interesting, since I spend an inordinate amount of time on the interwebs doing my geeky things, but hey, if we've got something in common, feel free to message me. : ) I'll probably respond (depending on whether or not I forget to - I have a terrible memory).

What I’m doing with my life

I'm a junior at my local university as a voice major. : ) I'm going to be an opera star one day. I'm involved with Pensacola Opera's chorus, having performed in Aida and preparing for Showboat and Cav/Pag. At the moment, I'm getting ready for my junior recital on October 8th, 2009, and am totally excited about it.

I’m really good at

Singing, writing, acting, being sarcastic, being overly dramatic (in a funny way), and being socially awkward when meeting new people.

The first things people usually notice about me

My fat. I am a size 20/22 and fine with it.

The six things I could never do without

Music, my computer, sleep, internet, school, and family.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

What to do next. In my odd, deep moods, I like to wax philosophical, usually regarding Life, the Universe, and Everything Else. I also spend a lot of time working out plot points and developing my characters for various projects.

On a typical Friday night I am

Probably reading. That, or I'm at one of our mandatory performances, either in the audience or on stage. Maybe even just hanging out with friends, usually at an event.
