My self-summary
My nephew is 2, he can't say my name, so he says shoes instead. It's cute :)

Or at least it was a couple of years ago, and now OKC won't let me change my username :/
What I’m doing with my life
I'm studying hoping to go toward 'serious games'. If you don't know what they are, there's a lot to read out there, it's amazing :)
I’m really good at
Hmmm, pretty much anything I want to be good at.
Oh, except sports. And dancing! Haha!

(disclaimer: knowing I'm bad at these things is not going to stop me from doing them... badly!)
The first things people usually notice about me
Well I guess you'd have to ask them...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Authors:
Jasper Fforde, George Orwell, Chuck Palahniuk, Jostein Gaarder, Douglas Adams, Michael Crichton, Roald Dahl, that's just a few, there are so many :D

Movies:
V for Vendetta, The Princess Bride, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Memento, Black Swan, The Dark Crystal... anything beautiful, anything interesting, anything that makes me think.

Shows:
All of them :)
Community!!!! Dr Who, Mythbusters, Portlandia, Jeeves and Wooster, Girls, Survivor, Death Note. I wish Arrested Development was still on! Oh, and I can't forget The West Wing.

Music:
Tom Waits, Daft Punk, Damien Rice, Elixir, Muse, The Polyphonic Spree, Dave Matthews Band, Tom Waits, The Flaming Lips, Radiohead, movie scores, musicals, today I've been enjoying BassNectar... basically anything amazing!
The six things I could never do without
Six... that's a weird number...
1. Internet
2. Podcasts
3. Audiobooks
4. Music
5. Solitude
6. ummm...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
This is a good question!

Skepticism, atheism, I've been reading some existentialism and absurdism lately. (Hmmm, that sounds like too many -isms.) What else... um... sciencey-stuff, computer games, programming... yup, I'm basically a big ole nerd.

I've been worrying that I'm a consumer, not a producer. I feel like a sponge soaking up all of the amazingness in the world, but I want a way to put something out there for someone else to get interested by. I worry that I'm not creative/profound/smart enough to do that.
On a typical Friday night I am
Sitting at home, alone, on the internet, filling my brain with stuff. But then, if you had an active social life, would you be on OKC?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I recently had to sell my place and move back in with my parents to study. I hate that this is where I am at almost 30, but hopefully it's temporary.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 29–45
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You don't mind if I don't write you back. I probably won't... don't feel bad, it's not you, it's me.

If I do message you back, then wow, I must be pretty keen :)
