My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a bit of a jack-of-all-trades. I work full time at a doctor's office doing patient registration, I run several online graphic design shops, I make and sell my own chainmaille jewelry... I'm a pianist, author, designer, actor, singer, photographer, reader and general geek extraordinaire.

Disclaimer: if the word "feminism" scares you, you'd best move along.

Also, there's no way to identify as genderqueer on here so... Yeah. I am.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to live it to the best of my ability.

Recently, I've been obsessed with all things Sherlock Holmes. I've always loved the original stories, loved the RDJ/Jude Law adaptation, but Sherlock, the BBC's modern re-imagining, has me completely and utterly hooked. If you haven't seen it, I have the first two seasons on DVD and will gladly subject you to them :3
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Photography, graphic design, typography, chainmaille, and obscure references. I've been playing piano on and off since I was in Kindergarten. Of course, now I wish I had taken it more seriously when I was younger, but I know enough to enjoy playing, and that's all that matters.

I've also been told I have a good eye for picking up weird things at antique stores and garage sales. I love anything vintage, odd, or industrial. I'm always up for driving around and looking for random antique stores!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I never know what to put here. I don't know what the first thing people notices about me is... generally because I'm not the person first noticing things about myself. What did you first notice about me?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I love murder mysteries, classic literature and anything on graphic design. Some titles: The Complete Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Anything and everything by Dame Agatha Christie. I recently finished "The Hound of the D'Ubervilles" - a retelling of many of the canon Sherlock stories from the perspective of Professor Moriarty and Colonel Sebastian Moran. I'm currently reading "Good Omens" by Gaiman and Pratchett

As far as movies go, I love all the good new classics like Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, etc. It's hard to make a list of all the movies I like, but typically anything in the comedy, action, fantasy, drama, or epic genre is for me. Some recent favorites include Scott Pilgrim vs. the World; Sherlock Holmes; I Love You, Man; Star Trek (the new ones); Shaun of the Dead; Ocean's 11; August Rush, The Lego Movie and others I can't think of right now.

I tend to watch more TV than I do movies. Some of my favorites include Sherlock, Top Gear, Mythbusters, Firefly, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Criminal Minds, Mystery Science Theatre 3000 and Two Guys, A Girl, and a Pizza Place. I've been on a wildlife documentary kick recently.

I also watch a ton of YouTube series, including the Yogscast, the Vlogbrothers, Healthcare Triage, the Slow Mo Guys, Smarter Every Day, Every Frame a Painting, Hat Films, Mental Floss, and the PBS Idea Channel.

Music is a little hard to pin down. I go through phases ranging from classical piano to 90s alternative to celtic chants to hard rock. I'm not really into hip-hop or rap. Bands that I never get tired of include Gordon Lightfoot, Streetlight Manifesto, Jamie Cullum, Foo Fighters, Incubus, Coldplay, and Jimmy Buffett. Lately I've been listening to a lot of folk and Irish music.

Lastly, food. I eat pretty much anything, though I can be picky at times.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My friends
2. My phone
3. My cat (Jasmine)
4. A high-speed internet connection (and access to Twitter)
5. My car
6. My calligraphy pens
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where I've come from and where I'm going.
How other people see the world.
How the brain works. Especially when it comes to things like change blindness. It's baffling.
Why cats only want your attention when you're trying to sleep, eat, or read.
The number of studies done on the number of licks it takes to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop.
Why people think that photoshopping hot models into even more unrealistic versions of themselves isn't harming the body-image mindset of the world today.
How I can scrounge up enough money to afford a trip to Britain.
What I would do if I met Andrew Scott or David Tennant on said trip.
The day-to-day lives of Sebastian Moran and Jim Moriarty.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out on twitter talking with my friends in England and elsewhere, watching Let's Play videos on YouTube and crocheting something.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've never been stung by a bee.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You want someone to talk to. You'd like to hang out sometime and get to know eachother. You know a great Antique store we can check out together. You're not afraid of someone with curves. You can point me to a new awesome BBC series. You know how many licks it takes to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop (and have the studies to back it up). You know exactly why I'm wearing that particular baseball cap in my profile picture.

Feel free to message me about anything! I don't bite unless you want me to :) Be warned, however - if you send me a stupid message, expect a stupid answer. Also, I'm not exactly a grammar snob, but please at least make an attempt at coherence.
