My self-summary
I'm a pretty silly kind of geek who loves to try new things, and am interested in meeting someone to try them with. I've been camping for weeks at a time, was raised on a farm for a few years (which was like one big camping trip anyway!), and have lived all over the country in my youth. Sadly, not many great stories from that, but it was fun! As a kid my my exciting memories were packing our bags to visit a whole new place; a whole new world filled with potential and possibilities!

I love to explore and travel, though sometimes I need someone with a bit more energy than I have to get things moving. You provide the start and I'll maintain the impetus. =)

There are still a lot of places I want to see and things I want to do. I've been snorkeling, next I want to try SCUBA. I don't know how to sail, and that's unacceptable to me. I've never been to the Grand Canyon, or snowboarding, or gone rock climbing. I want to do all these things, and maybe some others at the right suggestion. =)
What I’m doing with my life
Stepping out of my comfort zone.

A lot of nights i can be found playing Ultimate Frisbee, either at pickup or part of one of the Leagues i'm in, which is far cooler than it sounds. I also love to read, though lately i've been delving too deep into text books. It's not nearly as cool as the Ultimate thing.
I’m really good at
Everything. Especially modesty.

Mostly I'm good at being silly. I'm also an almost decent writer and have been working on a novel to publish. Hopefully I can find some takers when it's finished.
The first things people usually notice about me
How tall and thin I am. I'm not that thin! I just seem like it because i'm so thin.

PS: I also look like Harry Potter
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My favorite book series of all time are the first three books of the Foundation series by Isaac Asimov. I also adore The Name of the Wind and Patrick Rothfuss' writing style, and have fond memories of Sherlock Holmes (GREAT TV series, btw).

Series' i've read: Xanth series, Incarnations of Immortality, Robotech, Dragonlance, the Belgariad, Harry Potter... and many many others. I'm always open to suggestions!

My favorite movie is The Sandlot, because memories. I enjoy a broad range of movies from Inception to the Lethal Weapon series. I tend towards humorous movies, or movies with humor in them, but there's little i won't watch. I do adore time travel flicks though. Primer!

There are only a few TV shows i watch with any regularity: Doctor Who, The Newsroom, Parks and Rec, Sherlock, and Game of Thrones; and really anything by Aaron Sorkin or Joss Whedon.

I don't live by music, but I deeply enjoy Epic Rap Battles of History. If i had to pick a few bands i like i'd go with Journey, Metallica, Van Halen, Bon Jovi, and Kamelot. Big fan of the 80's! (Van Halen invented the 80s, so they count!) Pretty much anything that's not jazz, though.
The six things I could never do without
Good Friends
My Computer
The Internet
A big-brotherless society (which we seem to be failing at)
The Moon, which i really want to visit some day.
The ability to count to six.

I travel light. 8)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Silly things.

Most of the time i let my mind wander to wherever it wants to go. There's no telling what i'm thinking at any given moment, or that i'll be thinking it a moment later.

I sometimes like to think about math, the universe, and how grand it all is. What tiny specs we are in the grand scheme of things, and how much potential we have as a race to explore and understand something that is so much bigger than us. To modify, to mold it as we see fit. I enjoy occasionally reminding myself how small we are.

I also like to think about robots. Nothing specific... just... robots. I want one to do my dishes.
On a typical Friday night I am
Going where the wind takes me, as with every other night. I'm nothing if not open to spontaneity.

If there are no plans i can usually be found either at a local dance club for drinking and meeting new people for dancing, or on my computer playing games.

Pretty much sums up my Saturday nights too.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I do not press the button when crossing the street, but prefer to fly by the seat of my pants.

I'm an extrovert with introvert tendencies. I love being around people, but i don't like doing too much talking in crowds. If you love to talk we'd be perfect for each other!

The first time I ever drove a car was on my driving test, in the military, at 19. So I taught myself to drive a car during my half hour driving test; and I passed with whatever the minimum score you can pass with is.
You should message me if
You thought anything I said was interesting, funny, or both, and are not scared off by now.

You can ignore the fact that my compassion score on the same level as Hitler. WTF?

If you're not looking for someone who has it all figured out. I still have room to grow.
