I'm a laid back arty chick who likes music and gaming and walking in parks. Tabletop gaming, and big parks, with lots of trees.

I'm really new to Memphis, and mostly looking for friends in the city so I can get back into the things that I miss.

I suppose far as specifics are concerned I want people to go camping with and perpetrate vigilante beautification with, and probably to get stoned and lay on the grass at shelby farms bitching about politics and philosophy with.

No one understands things the same way, so we all have something to teach everyone else.

Being goofy. Giving massages (weed for foot rubs is always an even trade). Drinking coffee. Over analyzing things. Mistaking Begees songs on the radio for The Scissor Sisters.

I've got a really squinty smile and I dance a lot in public.

Books: shit, I don't read enough, and I never retain much that I do read. Sherlock Holmes is fun, Vonnegut is fantastic, and I enjoy non fiction, mostly band biographies and feminist theory. William McGonagall might just be my favorite poet. If not him, then Whitman.

Movies: Hook

Music: Folk punk and indie and folk. Against Me! are the band I did all my musical growing up on. Andrew Jackson Jihad and Bomb the Music Industry and Ani DiFranco and Ryan Adams and The Mountan Goats are also awesome. Perhaps the bit of a song that has made me the most happy ever is in Ryan Adams "Haloweenhead" (thanks, Brennan). If you can't figure out why, you aren't a good person.

Food: jambalaya, which I sort of loathe admitting because there's hardly reason it should be true. Any really spicy rice dish with lots of vegetables and maybe meat, though, is fantastic.
I really enjoy cooking, and experimenting with new recipes and so I vary what I what a lot.

Current events. Personal politics. Recipes I could try to invent, or variations on recipes I enjoy now. Visual artwork. Where to go take pictures. The nuances of how advertising is presented to try to get you to buy a product, and also to create an external vision of what the normal state of the world is. Bad graphic design (best example that a corporation has no excuse for: Super Target). Ways to make my friends happy. Ways to make people that I haven't met happy.
