My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Originally from a suburb of Philadelphia, have been in CA the past 7 years and SF, the last 3. I'm into exploring but don't have the best sense of direction so tour guides or newcomers who want to get lost with me are welcome!

I work as a mental health social worker and rarely have a dull day in the office. There are days I wish I could just sort paperclips or build a giant rubber band ball, but about half of the time, I feel engaged and happy with my work. I walk to unwind and there are beautiful places around me for that -- Land's End, Stern Grove. I also enjoy good storytelling any way I can get it--books, radio, This American Life, Mad Men, The Moth (http://themoth.org), movies.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I've been told I have a calming presence, which comes in handy in my line of work. Not really sure it's a good sales pitch on a dating site though. Hmm... maybe I should say my presence is electrifying? No, who says crap like that?! Not me. Hopefully, I fall somewhere in between these two extremes.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I come in 3-D even though this site only advertises 2-D.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Some of my favorite books: Interpreter of Maladies, Atonement, The Whore’s Child, Motherless Brooklyn.

Movies: Wes Anderson films, Half Nelson

TV: Colbert Report, Mad Men, Downton Abbey, The Wire. And I'm a sucker for dance competition shows.

Music: KCRW (out of LA)

Food: Big fan!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
wit
sense
nonsense
windows
water
chocolate
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Plotting my escape from these boxes!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Consuming food and drink with friends and getting all excited to sleep in on Saturday.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Just the other day, I ended the life of a moth by whacking
it with what I thought was a piece of junk mail. When I looked
down at the envelope, I saw these words: "Message
from the Dalai Lama Enclosed." For sure my station
in the next life will not be good. And I should add that I am
normally not so cavalier in taking lives. I'm a vegetarian
and have been known to politely escort bugs out the front
door.
