My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I hate online dating, but I've met some quality people this way over the years, so I'm trying to keep an open mind. :) Maybe you can make it worth my while. I've gotten to a point in my life where I know who I am and what I want a lot more, and I'm looking for someone who wants to come along for the ride and explore the world with me. An equal, a partner, someone with depth and humor and sex appeal to spare.

I'm a hopeless romantic. I can take a little while to fall for someone (never had that "love at first sight" thing happen to me), but when I do, I fall hard. Even with everything I've been through, I'm still a believer.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm an English teacher and a creative type who feels most alive when I'm performing or just singing and dancing around my house. I also love to write, but I don't create enough space for it.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
singing, being the life of the party, organizing, cartoon voices, hosting, performing, being a leader, making people laugh, taking care of the people I love, overthinking, being open to new people and experiences, making friends
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
my eyes and my laugh
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I have lots of opinions and favorites, but I'm sure we'd both prefer to chat about it in person over a glass of wine, right? In terms of food, I'm pretty health-conscious; I've been working with a nutritionist since the start of the year and don't eat very much gluten or dairy. I try to only eat poultry and fish, and I choose sustainable, humane products whenever possible (the book Eating Animals by Jonathan Safran Foer changed my life). At the same time, I can't imagine my life without the "eat, drink, and be merry" mantra ringing through it. Everything in moderation.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
intellectual stimulation
forward momentum
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
how I should think less and do more
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Lately, I've been trying to just listen to myself day to day instead of overplanning. I'm the kind of person who might have three weekends in a row booked if I'm not careful. Last night I got a massage at this Thai massage place across the street and then ordered Door Dash and watched Netflix - it was heaven. But I can't do that too often, at least not alone; I'm an extrovert and get energy from being around other people.
