What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I study creative writing at UVic, focusing on poetry, fiction, and film production. The amount of work is terrifying, but the program is fantastic.

Right now I work with an NGO on sustainability and community-building projects.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm pretty good at writing, and I can hold my own in a political discussion. I think I have a pretty good grasp of gender and oppression politics but, of course, there's still tons to learn.

Also competent at carpentry and cooking meals that blow the minds off of non-vegetarians.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
One, a pen (or pencil), and two, paper—I'm always needing to make notes and write stuff down.
Three: tea, earl grey, hot.
Four, my multitool, and five, twine or string. This one's a little out there, but I'm constantly running into situations where I need to some kind of line.
Six, finally, my cat. She's awesome.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I think a lot about feminist theory and colonialism (don't worry, I'm not an MRA!) Also, how I'm going to pull off a career as a writer.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?

Talking about poetry and social issues seems like a good conversation over tea to you.
