I am Happy, Curious, and Laid Back.
My Self-Summary
My cat thinks I am the greatest guy in the world. I think that
rainbow sprinkles are the best
ice cream topping ever. The best
compliment I have ever received is that I don't
dance like a white guy. I voted for
Nader in 2008. This
was my 4th year in a row at
Burning Man. I met
Ilanio in
Black Rock City and he
complimented me on my hand made vest and jacket. I am spiritually
an agnostic, but I try to practice Buddhism. However, I am terrible
at meditation.
What I’m doing with my life
I am a nurse; in any given week I will work the day, evening, and
night shifts, so having a stable sleep/wake schedule has not been a
part of my life for quite some time. After a lot of soul searching,
I have concluded that the best way for me to make a positive impact
on our future is to teach science and physics to school children.
So I am pondering whether or not I should stay in my current job,
which I enjoy, or if I should go back to school.
I’m really good at
Talking people down from bad acid trips. Chasing down the MUNI.
Making cool
raver
and
burning
man costumes. Cooking delicious lasagna, enchiladas, and my own
special cheesy spinach delight. Playing devil's advocate. Dancing.
Debating politics. Making camp fires. Finding awesome places to go
hiking and camping.
The first things people usually notice about me
Well, if I am in a MUNI bus filled with Asians, then people will
notice that I am very tall and very blond. If I am in a bus filled
with Dutch people, then I blend right in. If I am at a rave or
Burning Man, then people might notice that I am brightly colored,
fuzzy, and have way too many glow bracelets on. If I am at work, my
patients notice that I look way too young to be a nurse. If I am
walking arround SF, people might notice that I do not have an Ipod.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Mostly, I think about
Politics, especially now
health care
reform. Also
foreign policy,
macroeconomics, and
environmental policy. I
spend entirely too much time thinking about
Burning Man. I also think a lot
about
evolution vs
creationism. You see, I had a teacher in my public high school
who taught us that the Jewish god JHVH created the earth, the
universe, and all life in 6 days, and this occurred about 7,000
years ago. That teacher is one of my biggest inspirations to study
evolution,
paleontology,
geology,
physics, and
scientific theory
today. I think a lot about
the nature of reality,
perception, and
empirical
truths. I spend a lot of time thinking in general. As I said, I
am terrible at meditation.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either going to work, coming from work, or going to
1015 Folsom,
Mighty,
Temple,
The Matador, or anywhere that
is playing
dubstep,
drum and bass, or generally good
techno. I will do hip hop and salsa, if my date really wants to go.
If nothing is going on, I might go to
the Knockout to drink Hamms and
listen to punk bands with my step brother. I will NOT go to a club
that plays top 40. Just won't do it. Nope.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
On Saturday Morning, September 5, 2009, while watching the Sunrise
from the 3rd level of the Temple at Burning Man, I passed my Acid
Test. As of that moment, I was done with hallucinogens.
You should message me if
You like burning man, you like raves, you like dancing, or you like
going to clubs that do not play top 40. I would love to meet up
with some people who want to get together, make burner / raver
costumes, and listen to good music. If anyone is interested in
explaining to me why they feel health care reform and or legalized
gay marriage is a bad idea, please message me. I would love to hear
about it. If you know about a good underground and / or warehouse
rave, you are morally and legally obligated to message me about it.
If you want to make friends, you should message me!
