My self-summary
This part of the online dating thing; the part where you try to express your personality in a series of categories, is far and away more nerve wracking then actually meeting someone in person. I'm all about the subtleties of face to face communication. OK, now that I got that out of the way I'll summarize myself. The people, places and things that I care most about all have some sort of common connection, that is to say that they all proclaim the fullness of life. I know that's totally ambiguous, I'll try and explain it when we meet up.
What I’m doing with my life
Spending as much time as possible with people and ideas that I love. Additionally, I'm a theology student working towards vocational ordination in my church.
I’m really good at
Growing beards
Talking about things that I really care about
Listening to people when they are interesting (more often than not I find people interesting, I don't want to sound too pretentious)
Making lists of things that I'm good at
The first things people usually notice about me
People have a hard time guessing my ethnicity.
Right now my beard is pretty full, I get a lot of interesting comments about it.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music
-This changes frequently and usually depends on what I'm doing at the time. I'm really open to a lot of variety. I've been a long time fan of mewithoutYou, I still try and see them every time they are in town.

Books
-Godric by Frederick Buechner
-Gilead by Marilyn Robinson
-Telling the Truth by Frederick Buechner
-For the Life of the World by Alexander Schmemann

Movies
-I love anything by Wes Anderson and Terrence Malick
The six things I could never do without
Ok, since almost everybody writes the same six things in this section, family, friends, pizza, blah blah blah I'll just tell you the six things that I can always do without.

1. Unexpected loud noises, my friends like to hide when they come over and then jump out and scream in my face. I don't like it.

2. People talking on their Bluetooths? Blueteeth? Whats the plural of that word?

3. Most pop music

4. Beans and Bananas.

5. People leaving things where they don't belong at my work.

6. Traffic, nobody likes traffic.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I spend a lot of time (maybe too much time) thinking about theology, philosophy and politics. The idea that religious faith might make us look foolish(google Basil, Fool for Christ and see what I mean). When I'm not thinking about those things I usually imagine what it's like to be my dog.
On a typical Friday night I am
Trying to figure out what to do with my friends; don't worry, it always ends up being awesome.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I really dislike wearing socks. Also I'm a pacifist. I just discovered that I am an INFP, seems to be a pretty accurate description of me.
