My Self-Summary

This has to be the sixth or seventh time I've joined a dating site, and I'll probably lose interest altogether in a few days. :D I'm sort of spontaneous and easily distracted like that. That's why my art is mostly surrealist, although I'd like to draw comic books at some point. I am a major geek for anything that catches my interest. I love X-Men, Marlene Deitrich, The Mighty Boosh, and mythology, among other things.

I'm a full-time student at the SRJC, and when I'm not in class, I'm hanging out with my friends in the library reading bad fanfic online.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm in school and I love it. I wish that I could stay in college forever, but eventually I will have to start doing something with my learnings. I want to be a writer, or a paleo artist, or involved in comics, or something to do with languages. There are a lot of fields that interest me. It's hard to stay on one path.

I’m really good at

Poetry, drawing weird shit, prolonged internet debates (although I hate arguing in real life), being with animals and children (they tend to like me for some reason), and feeling embarassed about proclaiming myself "really good at" anything.

The first things people usually notice about me

My dress sense. I like to dress in really extravagant outfits for which I get a lot of compliments. People ask me why I dress up. Well, why NOT?

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Sandman, Terry Pratchett, Clockwork Orange, Catch-22, other Anthony Burgess books, Macbeth, The Lion In Winter, V for Vendetta, anything with Marlene Deitrich even if it sucks, Tom Waits, The Doors, Llasa del Sielo, Black Sabbath, Carmina Burana, Gary Numan, Joanna Newsom (an aquired taste), sharp cheddar, buffalo wings, really juicy burgers, jellyfish done right, turtle shell jelly, calamari, most anything from a Chinese restaurant, or Mexican if you hold the sour cream and guacamole, salted licorice, Baby Lucas, kroppsua, chicken.

The six things I could never do without

The Internet, coffee, meat (I could never be a vegetarian), books, my eyesight, and my ears, which I've been able to fold since I was two months old. It's a weird talent, but I find it really relaxing.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Superheroes discussing the nature of reality. Different characters I have invented become mouthpieces for different philosophical views, and different takes on history, science, and war.

On a typical Friday night I am

Reading or drawing. I like to stay up all night improving my brain. I'm not a big partier.
