I am something, something, and something else.

My Self-Summary

Right... uh... okay... I'm... see... I, well...
Yeah. Here's a list of things I enjoy since that's easier: train rides, art, illustrations, old books that have been written in, smelling things, coffee, adventures, pumpkin spice whatever, cold weather, bicycles, wanting to spend lots of money, only spending a little of it, traveling, la lengua Español, buying gaudy jewelry but never really wearing it, my family, funny people, cities, songs with harmonica or accordion or banjo, dark fairy tales, Russians, dancing like I don't know how (I really don't know how), conversations, hugs, meeting new people, trying new things, blowing your mind! But probably not the last one.

What I’m doing with my life

Figuring out what I'm doing with my life.

I’m really good at

Spelling and trivial knowledge. Pig latin.

The first things people usually notice about me

I don't know, I've never really asked and no one's ever told me. I'd like to assume it's something nice, though.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I love books and I'll read whatever I can get my hands on.
Kurt Vonnegut, JK Rowling, David Sedaris, JD Salinger. Always, always, always.
The Great Gatsby. 1984. Brave New World. Lolita. A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius. Trainspotting. Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs. The Picture of Dorian Gray. The Chronicles of Narnia. Everything is Illuminated. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
I like comics too. Such as: Y: The Last Man, Fables, Maus, The Umbrella Academy and Bone.

Movies: Life is Beautiful. Harry Potter. Children of Men. Pan's Labyrinth. About a Boy. The Little Mermaid. My Girl. Paper Moon. Y Tu Mamá También. Amèlie. La Vie En Rose. Rushmore. Me and You and Everyone We Know. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Citizen Kane. Breakfast at Tiffany's. Science of Sleep. 28 Days Later. Moulin Rouge. Shaun of the Dead. This is Spinal Tap.

Here's a sampling of music I like: Belle and Sebastian. Elliott Smith. Ben Folds (Five). Neutral Milk Hotel. The Decemberists. Architecture in Helsinki. Jackson Browne. Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin. Islands. Carly Simon. Graham Nash. Jolie Holland. Edith Piaf. And a handful of things I'll probably deny so you'll think I'm cool.

I like ethnic cuisines and breakfast food.

The six things I could never do without

Thoreau got it down to four.
But I'd probably add sandwiches.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

The future, but not exclusively my own. Different places in the world I'd rather be. My next day off work. If you'd still be my friend if I had lobster claws. Any of the things I listed in the "self-summary." Puppies and how much I want one (in particular the English Bulldog).

Semantics.

On a typical Friday night I am

Possibly working. Definitely thinking about doing something exciting. Maybe actually doing something exciting.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I think UPS man uniforms are sexy.
