My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm just a dorky queer living and working in Northampton!

I used to have other interests listed here, but I have to be real: these days, what I do is play roller derby! Three to four (to five, to six) days a week, I am at practice, skating in circles and hittin' other people with my butt.

I love to cook and eat, although I do more of the latter and less of the former these days. I also love to read young adult novels! I used to do it for a living, but these days it's just a relaxing hobby, which means that I mostly know about books that came out 3 years ago.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Mostly, I work two jobs and did I mention I play roller derby? I also coach roller derby and run the behind the scenes stuff. There's a lot of roller derby in my life. When I'm not doing that, I'm probably just vegging on the couch and considering what to cook for dinner.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: I'm not sure that I could ever narrow down my favorite books to just a few. My forever books are Mindscape by Andrea Hairston, His Dark Materials trilogy, the Circle of Magic books by Tamora Pierce, and I could keep listing forever so let's stop. My current reads that I've loved have been the second Rick Riordan dumb-demigods books, which are officially called -- Heroes of Olympus? And I really liked Holly Black's The Darkest Part of the Forest.

TV: Avatar: the Last Airbender, Gilmore Girls, Archer, Bob's Burgers, Gravity Falls, Leverage. Tell me about your Tina Belcher feelings, and I will tell you about my undying love for Louise.

Movies: GOOD LORD I LOVE THE FAST AND FURIOUS MOVIES. If it's a dumb action movie with a shoe-string plot, the chances are that I love it.

Food: Oh my god, I fucking love food. Truthfully, I find European food to be boring, but I'm down with pretty much anything else. (Right now I'm in love with Leela Punyaratabandhu's cookbook Simple Thai Food, and her cooking blog is even better!)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Sunshine (winter is so hard out here, y'all), my tiny dumb cat, my roommate, skating, spicy chips of any kind, and my phone.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Going to bed at 10 so that I can wake up at 4:30! Barista life is a boring life.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm actually pretty shy and am probably going to pretend that this okc account doesn't exist for a week once I get really overwhelmed by how many cute people exist in the world.

You're looking for something super casual, and you don't weird about the fact that I am at derby 90% of the time.

Or, if you have recently read a kick-ass YA novel/amazing cookbook/watched a dumb action movie that defies the laws of physics and need to share it with me. Tell me your thoughts on these things!
