My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
***Just looking for friends right now. I'm out of town for a couple months, I'm really just putting myself out there because I have this weird fear of accidentally passing up the perfect person while I'm away :) ***

I consider myself intelligent, however I'm probably not as deep or intellectual as most deep or intellectuals. Thats how I like it...I use my intelligence to keep my life simple and I don't let many things get to me.

I don't take pictures of myself flexing in front of the mirror, posing in front of my vehicles, or in uniform trying to look badass. I don't brag about what I do or what I've done. I don't believe a man should rest on his laurels.

Hah those are two pretty serious paragraphs...I'm really a relaxed guy. I'm 32, I like beer, music, and danger! I was in the army for 14 years but don't confuse me for the guys that let that define their life. Theres a lot more to me than that. I travel as much as possible and enjoy fine food and drink.

If you're the girl who spends every Friday and Saturday night at the club dancing on the bar, you're probably not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a girl who will travel with me and explore new places. Or who likes to lay low and drink wine and make a mess with me in the kitchen. Someone who might actually find a museum interesting once in a while. Someone who will take great care of me, because I take fantastic care of you.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I fly things, for a living. That's a pretty fun job. Keeps bread on the table and funds all my expensive ass hobbies.

Ass hobbies?
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm pretty f'ing good at what I do. I'm even decent at what I do on the side. Also, I'm a great lover. Hah.
The first things people usually notice about me

I'll admit it, I got hooked on Game of Thrones and went back and read all the books. Just finished #5. The fourth book took forever, I mean who cares about Brienne right?

Aside from that, I read historical and nonfiction a lot. I've seen every documentary on Netflix, had to watch that one about Jiro and sushi twice. The dude is just motivating.

Music. I'm kind of into a bluegrass, folk, jam thing right now. Southern Gothic is a genre I'm trying to dig deeper in. Sometimes I listen to Dr Dre in my car, but I turn it down when someone walks by.

Other culture: I dig art shows, theater, even opera. I go to the symphony a few times a year. Aerospace museums. Science museums. History museums. Fish museums (for the sea otters).

Oh yeah, and festivals. If theres some sort of festival in town, I'm probably at it with a beer in my hand.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Other than the whole family, friends, air thing:

Travel adventures.
Lazy rivers.
Live music.
This new thing where you're in the city but it's like you're eating inside of a barn and the food is really amazing and local.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I'm almost always planning my next trip. I've got this plan to see all seven continents. Five down so far, I've found it difficult to find someone who wants to go with me to Antarctica though. No one wants to bundle up and take a cold vacation (that isn't skiing).

*****Here's what I'm thinking about RIGHT NOW. A vast majority of the women on this site that are my age, seem to be a specific type. There are a lot of scarves in photos, and not many smiles. They extoll Nietzsche and Salinger and Ayn Rand. There is usually a macbook somewhere in their profile pictures. You would think Lolita was the only movie ever made.

In a geographical region where to be 26 and without child is behind the curve, is this the social group that makes it into their 30s before settling down? I'm not of that style, why am I single in my 30s? Are these girls smarter than me? Nah, probably just more well read. Can I hold a conversation with them? What would we talk about? I don't care about Nietzsche. I care about building my experiences, not reading his. Maybe she could share something important to her, with me? Nah she'd prob just act elitist and I'd have to smother her with a pillow.

Deep thoughts by Drew.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
