My whole life has essentially been one long quest for knowledge. I love the hard sciences most of all, but I'm happy to learn about anything new, from anyone. It really defines me in a lot of ways.
But! I'm not annoying or some horrible, social shut-in, stereotype! Promise! I know math isn't for everyone (or rather, I know that not everyone has yet realized math is for them), and there is a time and a place for serious talk. And a whole lot more times and places for fun.
When I'm not doing something studious, I'm probably laughing. I love to laugh, and to make other people laugh. A friend once remarked that I'm really easy to find in a public space - you can just follow the laughter. I love with and wordplay and good banter especially.
Essentially, if I've got good company, I'm happy doing almost anything. I love to read, watch movies, play games (be they video, board, or other), and to talk. I'm not especially creative in the generative sense, but I do love to figure out how to make or accomplish something that a friend wants to have exist/do. Sometimes I even manage to come up with something almost clever (clever is a pretty charged word in the heady arena of theoretical mathematics; full on cleverness is a rare occurrence) I also love to cook (and really, to eat).
I like people who are intelligent and interesting, first and foremost. Given that, I can get along with basically anybody. I don't have strong opinions on most of the big topics, so its hard to offend me or to have an ideological clash. I love to pick apart sentences and opinions and argue and debate in order to learn and grow. The occasional semantic battle is something of an occupational hazard for my friends, and I don't regret that for a second.
Oh and I hate bananas. They suck.
