My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi there.

I'm a PhD student from the UK with a second home in New York. Looking to make some friends in New York or possibly more.

My hair is not this blue anymore, it's washed out and I really don't know if my current color has any name in any language I know.

Wanna hang out? I'm usually working in libraries and archives for most of the day but am free afterwards.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Doing a PhD at the University of Nottingham, going for a degree in American History. All about Puerto Rican community activism on the Lower East Side. I get to travel a lot, keep flexible times, and write and read to my heart's content.

Besides that I love to be active. I hike and swim and play squash, all sorts of fund ways. I love to feel and hear my heartbeat, it's a spiritual thing for me. I considers swimming meditation, haven't tried yoga yet.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
being pragmatic and compromising. While I have quite strong liberal, leftish views I generally care more about coming to a compromise than forcing my views on others. Same goes for religion, I'm not religious, though I'm spiritual, but I do go to church sometimes. Because I'm weird.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I get by unnoticed except when I decide to dye my hair blue for some reason. I'm going for a rosé color next time so stay tuned.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
If I had to choose 6 things to take to a deserted island:
-my guitar
-a journal with a pen to write stuff
-a dog to keep me company
-another dog to keep my dog company =)
-a cat to keep the dogs in check
-a blanket to keep the bunch of us warm at night

I think it's pretty obvious I love animals. I want a dog so badly but with all my traveling around it'd not be responsible or really possible at all. One day I will find my soulmate labrador named Barney. Sooner than later please.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
traveling. Inter-European travel can be insanely cheap so I take advantage of this whenever possible. I love to explore city cultures as much as I love to hike and bike in the open wilderness (where such a thing still exists). Looking for travel buddies!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
probably at home watching a movie? Going to some event or playing boardgames?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Never really been in love.
