My self-summary
I've spent *most* of my life living outside the US... I mostly grew up in Turkey, but spent a couple years in Belgium as well. Did my undergrad in Maryland/Michigan and then joined the Navy. Spent the last 5 years overseas and recently moved back to the MD/DC area to work for about 3 years.

I love traveling and generally don't like staying in one place for too long... I like to think that I can hold a conversation about almost anything.
What I’m doing with my life
Getting paid to travel the world and do computer & network security-type stuff and cranking out a master's degree.

Also just bought a house...and have recently taken to doing a lot of DIY-type stuff...even though I really have no idea what I'm doing, thanks Google/Youtube!
I’m really good at
I'm a huge nerd - my background/profession/hobbies center around technology. I can pick up a new piece of tech and usually figure it out within a couple minutes (literally). This is more or less what I do for a living, except within the realm of computer security. Nerdy.

I love breaking things, taking them apart, figuring out how they work and putting them back together - I do a lot of reverse engineering. Hardware, software, and food...

I also love to cook (American, Thai, Chinese, Indian, Mexican and Italian) and I'm working on becoming a scuba dive master =)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
TV: House of Cards, Modern Family, Breaking Bad (before it ended), Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Battlestar Gallactica

Music: Korn, Linkin Park, Three Days Grace, Taking Back Sunday, Fort Minor, Massive Attack, Finger Eleven, Snow Patrol, Blue October, AC/DC, 30 Seconds to Mars, Nine Inch Nails, Jimmy Eat World, Rammstein, Swedish House Mafia, David Guetta, The Boxer Rebellion, Deftones, Rage Against the Machine.

Movies: Braveheart, Crash, Star Wars, James Bond (all), Schindler's List, Moulin Rouge, Interview with the Vampire, American History X, Band of Brothers, Equilibrium, Cast Away, Saving Private Ryan, Forrest Gump, Monty Python, anything Kevin Smith, Requiem for a Dream, Ask the Dust, The Invisible, The Last Castle, Crimson Tide, The Hunt for Red October, The Namesake
The six things I could never do without
People always put down predictable stuff like "computer" or "Internet"....but considering my job revolves around it, I actually don't feel particularly naked without it... I have no qualms not being "connected"...Sorta realized after lots of third-world traveling that I didn't need technology to enjoy myself or keep abreast of the world...

But oh yea, six things:
- Morning cup of coffee
- Craft beer
- Wine
- Thai food
- GPS (you know streets in Japan often-times aren't named?)
- Intellectual stimulation
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My next career-move....trying to plan out at least 4-5 years into the future in regards to where I want to be (in my career, and geographically-speaking).
On a typical Friday night I am
Out and about...watching movies...cooking dinner...having a nice cold beer...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a completely heterosexual man-crush on Gordon Ramsay and all of his syndicated shows (i.e. Hell's Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares, Hotel Hell).
