Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I seek a life where I don't look back and regret what I didn't try.
I believe in the power of dreams...and the bitter harvest of those
untapped. I believe in late night conversations at a Waffle House
at 2am. I think there is as much beauty in the grey streets of a
metropolis as there is in the quiet mountains. For the longest of
time I have fought between my desire for independence and a need
for companionship. I think I have finally realized what I need to
do to balance the two. I am a person who feels like life should be
explored. While I have a primary partner who helps me on my
journey, we both maintain relationships outside of our dynamic. If
you are one who sees a difference between what is a poly lifestyle
versus a swinger, we would be much more the former than the
*UPDATE* The person mentioned above is now my wife. If you would
like to see her profile on here, I am happy to steer you that way.
We share a life together, and each have our own dynamics.
I am conversation driven, admittedly fickle, and known to wander.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
During the day I work as the IT Director for a non-profit pysch
facility for children. It is probably the most draining job I have
ever had.... but by far the most rewarding. Sometimes I feel like
someday they will figure out I will be exposed as a kid playing
"executive", but at least for now the ruse is holding.
At night I can be found roaming around Little Five Points where I
live. I try to squeeze in time to travel to places not yet
visited...and a few favorite haunts every so often.
I go to sci-fi fantasy cons and the Starlight Drive In on nice
evenings. Also, like everyone else,I have a novel that I never seem
to get time to finish.
It is funny how much life changes. Like so many other people, I was
the victim of the merger/acquisition tides of the current economy.
I now work for myself after being give my walking papers by the
large evil non-profit that gobbled up the one I worked at. I took
some of the money and backpacked across Europe for a few months. I
also skipped Dragon Con this year to go out to Burning Man. Through
all of this, I have found a girl who seems to get me. So, I guess
you could say I am in a non traditional relationship now.
Relationship... what a weird word to self apply in my case.
*Pre Mayan Calendar Rollover Update*
It is funny how much life has changed since I have updated this
I have in the past year accepted a position as a project manager
for a small start-up in Buckhead. It is definitely a paradigm shift
for me from my previous "hand's on" work. To alleviate my need to
keep in the middle of technology, I maintain a small consulting
business. Things will the girl as still going well. She has a
profile on here now. If you ask nicely, I will point you to
*UPDATE 8/21/13* I married the girl and am still working as a
project manager. My ongoing goal of improving myself as a partner
and person is ongoing!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I am really good at long ambling conversations, particularly about
movies. Plotting out road trips for myself and others is another
skill I think I should be paid for. Ideally, being a sarcastic
coffee swilling cynic would pay well. Sadly though, judging from
the populace of the local haunts, it would be a saturated field.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I usually sleep only four hours a night. I am not sure why... it
runs on my mother's side of the family. I seem to have an opinion
on almost anything... and will share it when provoked... and
sometimes even when I am not (emphasis on the last part, but in a
good way. Most of the time).

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My friends
2. My laptop
3. Emotions that pick you up and carry you with them
5. The open road
6. Conversations in bed at 3AM
and because I will put whatever I want here
7. The belief that tomorrow could be better than today if you are
willing to make it that way.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How do I get out of this cycle of earn and spend to something more
I think I finally figured this out! I definitely put experiences
over material possessions nowadays.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out with friends at the movies or lurking about a coffeehouse in
search of refuge.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have come to accept that I get inside my own head far to often
and easily. Also, I do have a "type" when it comes to women. When
someone who fits into that wheelhouse comes along, I can make quite
a scene in falling over myself to get their attention.
