Lifelong learner and teacher. My interests and work have taken me many places, and I write and savor these memories as I make more plans. Health, balance, expression, and harmony are priorities, and I hope to meet someone who feels the same. I have a quick wit, love food, and love my friends.
What I’m doing with my life
Long-time deep study of yoga and its philosophy. Same for learning about food and cooking in these modern times. Teaching different things, keeping up friendships around the world. Living and planning a career serving people in need of peace. Trying to be a better person by keeping mum when that's the thing to do. Working a lot, making peace with my body to make peace with my mind, moving step by step towards big dreams.
I’m really good at
Listening, observing, eating! Strolling, chanting. Seeing uniqueness. Putting things off (especially anything online). Communicating clearly. Finding too much irony. Respecting limits. Finding reasons to skip the dusting. Finding gifts. Helping people relax, or fall asleep. Seeing through bullshit. And I love helping people discover new things about themselves on the road to self-reliance. I _love_ my job!
The first things people usually notice about me
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Mary Oliver, Michael Ondaatje, Annie Dillard, Yoga Sutras, loads of music from the past century, Stephen Colbert, Walt Whitman, Bhagavad Gita, Paleo diet and gluten-free treats, avocados, chocolate, Masters of Sex, Game of Thrones (ashamed), travel narratives, the Coen Brothers, lightly salted snap-pea crisps.
The six things I could never do without
Full body movement
The hot tub
I spend a lot of time thinking about
food and how it affects the way we think and feel
ways to feel the country in the city
how my body feels and how other people feel
what people need
how to communicate yoga for healing
creating an international lifestyle
planning my future
On a typical Friday night I am
Not working, not being productive, not goofing off with my several projects, doing any number of things but usually there's a trip to the hot tub or sauna.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm willing to admit lots--and it would be more fun to tell you
face to face
You should message me if
This sounds interesting, you like taking your time getting to know
someone, and you aim to think positive :-).
