I am: a writer, a disenchanted romantic, and a cynical believer in dreams. I like candle-lit breakfasts and long runs that lead nowhere.

I'm also a poor man's pianist and a single father. My daughter is everything.

My ideal match is female. One must have standards, after all. I like lists. In descending order of importance, you are:

1. Honest (this also implies faithful)
2. Kind (you truly believe that every human being is worth a damn)
3. Intelligent (there are a number of ways to meet this criterion)
4. Appreciative of dry wit (otherwise you won't appreciate me)
5. Hopeful (at least on your good days)

Perhaps you are also insanely, profoundly, undeniably, over-indulgently, exorbitantly fond of adverbs.

Working, living, breathing, being, doing, trying, hoping, eating, sleeping, writing, thinking, and gerund-ing.

I'm a professional writer, which means that I actually found a job doing what I love. However, I've evidently misrepresented myself as the resident grammarian at work, which I'm not.

But I do understand that "grammarian" is the proper term rather than the misused "grammatarian," which could be defined as "one who eats grammas." Therefore, The Big Bad Wolf was simply a misunderstood grammatarian.

My paycheck-less writing is consumed by poetry, screenwriting, blogging, and a recent stab at macabre children's stories.

Not really sure. I do have a tail.
