I am talented, ambitious, and alright I guess.
My Self-Summary
I spent three years in Boston for college, but it didn't work out
for me. Now, I'm back home trying to make a living.
I don't regret living in Boston. I had an amazing time there.
However, since the cost of living was enormous, I couldn't possibly
live there within my means, so I came back home.
I'm a musician, and I still play from time to time.
I'm a certified
emergency medical
technician, and I'm currently trying to get a job with an
ambulance company.
What I’m doing with my life
I was attending
Berklee College of
Music in Boston, but I decided to quit. Personally, I thought
the school was hindering my talents because of all the classes that
I had to take as a formality to go into the programs I wanted. I
play the tuba and the electric bass. I am also an amateur filmmaker
looking for material. I can't write screenplays, though. My brain
works too fast for my hands, so I can't really get anything on
paper. (For the record, that problem actually got me classified as
learning-disabled in elementary school) If you have a story that
you want to see on screen, I'd be happy to collaborate. I'm very
much a visual person.
Music-wise, my influences come from the classic rock and
progressive rock genres. Anything that requires active listening to
enjoy is something that interests me.
For my film scores, I want them to be contemporary sounding, yet
have some classical aspects. To make them sound more modern, I like
to use synthesizers along with acoustic instruments where
applicable.
Filmmaking-wise, I definitely enjoy something that can really catch
the viewer's eye. When I finally start making films (who knows
when), I'd like them to be influenced by the films of Terry Gilliam
and Stanley Kubrick due to their surreal look, or have the
slapstick violence of Peter Jackson's early works (especially Dead
Alive).
I’m really good at
Writing music, playing music, computers, various electronics.
The first things people usually notice about me
People used to notice my hair, but now they notice that my hair is
gone. I got tired of it, so I chopped it off and donated it to
Locks of Love in honor of a friend of mine who died of cancer. I
still show people my driver's license in case they don't believe
how long my hair used to be.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
(a) the Harry Potter series, Dan Brown, Tom Clancy. However, the
main book I'm reading right now is "Emergency Care and
Transportation for the Sick and Injured (9th Edition)", the
universal textbook for EMTs in the United States. (b) Jaws, The
Hunt For Red October, Apollo 13, This Is Spinal Tap, Independence
Day, Animal House. (c) Anything classic rock, from late '60s to
early '90s, or recent material from bands of that time period
(Especially Rush. Lots and lots of Rush). (d) Whatever is edible
and tastes good.
The six things I could never do without
Food, music, video games, Internet, sex, computers.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My future, but who doesn't?
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually bored out of my mind and looking for something to do.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I think
power
ballads are extremely romantic. I really do.
You should message me if
if you like to discuss music, film, or emergency medicine (nerdy, I
know). Or if you want to for the hell of it.
Or, if you know what film this quote is from: "I KICK ASS FOR THE
LORD!!!"
Or, if you want your clothes cut off with
trauma shears.
