My self-summary
"Happiness is the meaning and purpose of life, the whole aim and end of human existence" - Aristotle

"He who has a why to live can bear nearly any how." - Nietzsche

Hey, my name's Dave - I'm currently working my way through law school right now, which (as you can probably can guess from me being on this site) takes up a good deal of my time. I'm not one to take things like this very seriously - but I really do enjoy chatting to new people, whom I may never have come across otherwise.

Let's see - I graduated from undergrad with a degree in Psychology, and went on to law school to pursue work in public interest or public policy. I'm very much a city person - having worked in NYC, L.A., and most recently in D.C. working on legislation in the Senate.

I'd have to say that music is my biggest passion in life. I often play, sing, and write my own music to relax. Actually, in undergrad, I was responsible for running most of the larges scale events on campus, including concerts, and got to work with a ton of great artists, celebrities, and their agents (obviously I don't do it anymore, but it was a blast). If not music related, I'm probably photoshopping some ridiculous picture for my friends' amusement or just out trying to find something fun to do.

As for the future - I'll probably be looking for something in public policy; especially right now, I have a big interest in public education and the workforce. Really, though, as long as I find some way to help people, I'll be pretty well content.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my personality and sense of humor.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - I am a huge fan of classic literature, anything that makes you think.

Movies - Gladiator, Fight Club, V for Vendetta, Sabrina (Audrey Hepburn has a special place in my heart, so anything with her), Inception/Momento (anything by Christopher Nolan), Suckerpunch (anything by Zach Snyder), mostly anything by Stanley Kubrick, anything with Peter Sellers, and any of the classics with Humphrey Bogart, Jimmy Stewart, or Gregory Peck. On the comedy side - Anchorman (all of Will Ferrell's non-sports movies) and anything with Paul Rudd.

TV - The West Wing (anything by Aaron Sorkin), Arrested Development, Seinfeld, Futurama, South Park, House, Scrubs, Firefly, The Office (not so much anymore) - and, of course, The Daily Show/Colbert Report
