My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
(UPDATE: I've been on OKC on/off for about a year now, please see my latest comments in parenthesis)

I'm a specific-islander (still true) who would like to meet someone that fits one-or-more of the following descriptions: loves to laugh, friendly, smart, independent, appreciates random acts of kindness, knows how to take care of a person's heart should they be entrusted with it, honest, caring, sweet, and has a nice smile and is not afraid to show it. (hrmmm, maybe I'm asking for too much??? if I had to pick one, I would definitely keep the "smile" part...and extra credit for dimples!)

Of course, I am able to provide all of the above as well (still true). I'm the type of guy whom my female friends always ask "why are you single?" or "you would make such a good catch"...well, I'm ready! (I now reply back with "Did you want to introduce me to someone" when I hear this)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a Program Manager for a Silicon Valley Tech Company (I just finished my last contract, and am on sabbatical while waiting for my boss to give me my next assignment). I was previously an Officer in the United States Army (@ Fort Hood, TX pre-shootings), and recently went back to school and obtained my MBA. (class of 2008!)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
- exchanging oxygen for carbon-dioxide (41yrs and still going strong)
- driving on the right side of the road (and yielding to pedestrians!)
- paying for tolls with exact change (don't use the bridges as much as I used to)
- listening/returning calls/remembering bdays (nobody calls anymore, so I text this stuff out now)
- advising family & friends on their "forays" into technology
- maintaining my wishlist on amazon (now with prime 2day shipping!)
- taking initiative (I don't know why I put this here?)
- parallel parking
- tipping generously (if the service calls for it)
- making my family/friends/coworkers laugh (what's the best time to schedule a dental appt? at tooth-hurty!)
- providing realtime data on sporting events (data is summarized post-event these days)
- quoting seinfeld/the office/chris rock (and trying to do archer now)
- worrying about the weather (I can name all the meteorologists on KTVU)
- watching the 10 O'Clock news at 10pm (usually watch it after 10pm now, to fastforward past the commercials)
- acquiring more headphones then I need (not proud of this)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
smile / laughter (hmmm, I need to re-survey people about this)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
so many...please ask! (I think I can narrow it down to comedies...as for food anything except indian, not that there's anything wrong with that)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
never leave the house without:
- my phone (proud to say that I never talk/text while driving!)
- my keys (car keys, to be exact)
- my wallet
- my glasses or sunglasses (can't see without them)
- handkerchief (I have been slacking off on this one)
- gloves/jacket (I really like driving with gloves on, for some reason)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
why nobody replies back to me on okcupid when I message them. (I don't really think about this anymore, I've come to realize that life is way too short to worry about the choices that others make)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
going out for dinner! (this is so lame, I eat dinner everyday)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
"I'll admit to nothing over the internet!" (still true, especially with all the snooping that goes on these days...maybe that I can name all the meteorologists on KTVU?)
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
- you are an actual person (not a bot)
- you really want to go out and meet an actual person (I'm not a bot)
- you're okay with being friends if we go out and aren't a match (no hard feelings!)

(also add:
- you have read this far
- you want me to reply back (I don't have A-list!)
- you smile
...a lot
...not "Joker" a lot, though)
