My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hilarious, hardworking, honest, and energetic describe me. If you prefer tests:
Strengths Finder: Learner, Achiever, Empathy, Including, Intellectual.
Color personality test: Orange, green, yellow.
Myers/Jung: ESTJ.
Enneagram test I am a 7 with a 8 wing (Enthusiast/ Realist).

I'm definitely an outgoing guy. Funny, easy to talk to, big-hearted, and non-judgmental are all descriptions people have used to label me. Goals are important to me and I have a strong work ethic, but I'm not a workaholic. I love being an entrepreneur, crunching numbers and budgeting actually make me smile . The past year ending in July '14, I spent working and traveling in China. Doing my profession in a farming city was quite the experience. I have also lived in Houston and Denver, and now I'm in Cajun country after being away for 14 years. Being content but also motivated for more is tricky but I think I am getting the hang of it.

After a couple of emails, I would prefer to have a conversation and then if that goes well an in-person encounter. Have you ever spent a while talking and then in person realize it just won't work?

I'm not intimidated by women with degrees or high salaries (those aren't mandatory though).

My idea of a good time: at a friend’s house cooking, out and about on the town, exercising, giving a talk to a big crowd or just watching a movie at home. (Obviously not an exhaustive, all-encompassing list.)

Looking for:
Honesty and Integrity
Intelligent conversation
Financially stable
Confident in many areas
Being a Christian is more than just a box you check off
You know what you are looking for in a life partner
Minimal drama
Can get over things fairly quick and Forgive them
Try new things
Joking around and laughter are on your list for a great life
I try to stay active and healthy and expect the same in a partner
I might be divorced but there's a good reason (5 yrs ago now). Just FYI I'm not a jerk nor do I have addictive habits etc.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I hit the gym 4-5 times a week for cardio and weights. I actually read a lot, my yearly goal is at least 12 but tend to do more than that. Music grounds me and I like a wide variety. Don't put it past me to attend a college play/musical. I started taking fencing lessons while in Denver but had to put that on hiatus while I was working in China for a year (my last month I found a club and was taught by olympic athletes). I'm back in the states, relocated to Louisiana and fencing yet again. So far it has been fun and challenging. Football is fun to watch, mostly just the teams I like though.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
My profession is my passion and joy. Nothing beats working to get people out of pain and improve health all day. When I go home, I feel like my day was spent doing something important. I spent half of 2013-14 working in China, but that's over now.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Maybe my eyes and my curly hair in the past.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Cajun food is home cooking for me. I'm adventurous with food, so I will go to just about any type of dining place.
Movies: comedy, action, drama, some romantic comedy types, indie films, even sci-fi
Books: honestly I read a lot of business books, psychology, self help, marketing, etc
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
A) toothbrush and tooth paste
B) good friends
C) wonderful church
D) getting adjusted
E) trying new food
F) leave this one open for new experiences
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I take care of myself emotionally and can be empathetic and compassionate to others. I can cry at the right moment in a movie and be the solid rock when someone is grieving. We all have ups and downs but I do my best to ask the questions to keep positive and plowing on and achieving my goals.
I have values and principles that have served me well over the years. Since I read a lot and have an open mind, I do explore other ideas/opinions and test them out sometimes to see if they serve me well or not. People are fascinating so I enjoy conversations exploring the way they think and process things. If you ask the right questions (and listen), it sets the stage for a nice relationship.
Usually I find myself being informal and flexible in my day to day life while keeping the structure and focus needed to accomplish tasks. Who says work and lists have to be done in a boring monotonous way.
Being around people, giving talks, entertaining others really gets my juices flowing. It truly does, however I also need my down time. I can go go go but I want an evening at home with my books and TV too. I enjoy a variety of people: the chilled out, excited, sports goers etc… just adapt to the surroundings and enjoy.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Maybe with friends at a house cooking, out and about on the town, or just grab a movie and stay in. Every six weeks or so I'm sitting in an airport wondering why its late.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I like quickbooks and watches.
