Books: My favorite book is "The Perks of Being A Wallflower," which
I've read about fifteen times, and which I always get something new
out of every time I read it. I love anything on progressive
Christianity, progressive politics, and psychology. I also enjoy
Willa Cather, David Eddings, Mark Twain, Terry Brooks, JK Rowling
and Anne Lamott. My summer project is to read Gertrude Stein's "The
Making of Americans"...what's not to love in 925 pages of modernist
writing full of run-on sentences and limited punctuation?
TV: I don't watch much TV, but when I do I tune in to Family Guy,
Orioles Games on MASN and Conan O'Brian.
Movies: But I'm A Cheerleader, Saved!, Magnolia, Eurotrip,
Superhero movies, stupid comedies and other random cinematic
Music: I have over a thousand albums on CD and Vinyl. Some favorite
artists at the moment are Greg Laswell, Yoko Ono, Tiger Army,
Eminem, John Lennon, Alkaline Trio, Against Me!, Public Enemy, Dan
Andriano in the Emergency Room, Nellie McKay, John Francis,
Passenger, Morrissey, Blondie, Ani DiFranco, Sam Phillips, Derek
Webb, Tom Petty, Aimee Mann, Anti-Flag, etc.
