My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!”
― Hunter S. Thompson
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a doctor and surgeon-in-training (aka resident), who is grateful for the great opportunity to serve the population of Atlanta, especially many of the poor and "forgotten" members of our society who DESPERATELY need and DESERVE excellent health care!

I love late-night discussions, heated debates on political and social issues , and laughing loudly at the ridiculous and (sometimes) the inane.

Knowledge excites me, whether it's from empathizing with a close friend, watching an interesting documentary, hiking in California or Arizona, finding adventures in West Africa (and hopefully South America one day), or trying a new ethnic restaurant .

In essence, I'm a dreamer and an idealist. I always hope for the best and try to see the best in everyone. I demand the best of myself in my work, and especially with the people that I care about. Even if I sometimes fail, there is a joy and a beauty in striving to do great things.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Sleeping soundly

Books: Outliers by Malcom Gladwell. Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese. Night, by Elie Wiesel, Coraline by Neil Gaiman, Man's Search for Meaning by Victor Frankl.

Documentaries: Man on Wire (2010), Reel Bad Arabs (2006), The Fog of War (2006), All Watched Over By Machines of Love and Grace (2011)

Music: Lauren Hill, Whitney Houston, Steven Curtis Chapman. I love almost any genre of music from R&B to Classical to Country as long as it has a unique thought, an appealing sound,or a thrilling beat.

Movies: Gladiator, 300, The Lives of Others (German), The Adventures of Natty Gann, The Wind that Shakes the Barley, There's Something about Mary, Cloud Atlas, Crash, and Meet Joe Black.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-Dreams /Purpose/Big ideas

I'm completely unafraid of making a fool of myself for the amusement of a good friend. I love those unexpected silly moments at home and especially at work that make busy days a lot brighter and more enjoyable.

There are two very good friends that I consider closer than family. My high school roommate and my best friend from college. They have both been such an inspiration and I often feel so lucky just to be called their friend.

I was born in Japan, and I spent a lot of my childhood on the West coast and the South before moving to the Northeast. My dad was in the Navy and I've lived all around the country and I like experiencing new foods, cultures, sports, ideas, and etc.

I couldn't live without medicine, and especially surgery. Being responsible for the care of another human being is one of the most rewarding and humbling experiences anyone can ever have. It's a sacred responsibility. I've interacted with so many wonderful and amazing patients. I've learned so much from their courage and resilience, and it's such an honor to serve them.

-Mouthwatering Food
Por supuesto :)

-Health and Nutrition
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The people that I love

My purpose in life

-Medicine and academia, laparoscopic procedures, health disparities, social equality, politics, Obamacare, religion, Roger Federer (and his evil nemesis Nadal) , Lakers, RGIII, new technological gadgets, Maize & Blue, healthy eating, running, The Practice, differential diagnosis, swimming, museums, hiking, Trumbull (#1 residential college ever btw), adolescent obesity, stupid things I've accidentally said to good friends, nootropics, traveling to South America, loyalty, faith, religion, spirituality, kindness, friends that I've lost touch with, loved ones that I've lost, what life will be like 200 years from now.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At Starbucks, drinking a green tea lemonade, a chai tea latte, or just coffee (depending on my caffeine requirement) while studying or looking at data on my computer. I take breaks to talk to the baristas who by now know me by name. This is often the most enjoyable and relaxing part of my week.

Recently I've had some time to go out and explore some of the restaurants and events here. I'm beginning to see why this is such a wonderful and exciting city.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I still think Lance Armstrong is the greatest cyclist who ever lived...ha ha that's just a joke (drugs should only be used to save lives not to win races...aka_me_no_420_friendly)

“I have found my star. She is beauty and grace. Elegance and goodness. My laughter in winter. She is courageous and strong. Bold and tempting. Unlike any other in all the universe, and I cannot touch her. I dare not even try.[Zarek]"
― S. Kenyon

Isn't that what everyone should expect from online dating ;)?

Ha ha...I guess that silly quote is why no one replies :) Seriously...

-are happy with your life
-seek adventure
-appreciate the natural beauty that surrounds us
-are open to trying new things and are enthusiastic about sharing interests
- enjoy the outdoors and try to stay active
-*are a genuinely good hearted person who puts others first
-have a silly side and you aren't afraid to show it

** I want to end my profile with this: I know that saying this is unnecessary, but it feels important. If I don't message you back, please don't take offense, and I will do the same. There was probably something in your profile that made me feel like we wouldn't be a good match. Ignoring people who message me is the hardest part about being on this site, even if I know that we're not compatible. Maybe this site isn't for me because of it. I know how it feels. I've been ignored on here as well. There have been times that I thought, "if you could just meet me or talk to me, I know that we would hit it off so well." And... nothing! No matter how sure you are, sometimes it hurts. I KNOW you will find the partner you're looking for : )
