My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I drink orange juice right after brushing my teeth because I like to live dangerously.

I’m a friendly, quirky, DIY-project junkie that is optimistic to a fault and addicted to learning. I am very happy with my life. I've attained a fantastic position in a field I love (engineering/design) and am "usually" happy to be living in southern California. (Let’s be honest though, nobody is happy in socal traffic.)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
You mean when I’m not doing the 8-5 weekday dance and annoying everyone around me at work with lame jokes?

Well then, I'm attempting to climb to the top of every mountain I come across. I (like everyone on this website), enjoy hiking and just being outdoors in general. It’s too bad I have a love-hate relationship with the sun. Why must you hurt so good sun?

If I am not busy out finding new ways to make my feet hate me, then I’m usually working on my latest project. Sometimes I paint, sometimes I draw, sometimes I build — most of the time I just make a mess.

I also value a healthy lifestyle. I run/bike and work out regularly. I hardly ever eat out and prefer to cook for myself. Cooking for one is sometimes boring, but the leftovers are mine allllll mine! It also gives me the opportunity to experiment with reckless abandon.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Thinking of things I am really good at and then forgetting what they are when I log in to fill this space in.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My amazingly useful superpower: my eyes change colors. It's like an unfortunate, always-on, built-in mood ring.

If it is considered "nerdy" then you can bet I will enjoy it, but I will try to keep my lists diverse.

Movies: Batman, Hook, Star Wars, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Big Lebowski, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic. Action, adventure, and comedy are my typical go-tos for sofa-surfing sessions.

Books: I love to read. The Once and Future King, The Wheel of Time Series, The Master and Margarita, Mutiny on the Bounty, Cloud Atlas, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Crystal Cave; I could go on forever here. Recommendations encouraged.

Music: Bad Religion, Muse, Rush, The Birthday Massacre, Queen, Brahms. What do they have in common? Not that much truthfully. My music taste is pretty varied and I tend to enjoy most everything; except rap, I'm too white for that. And country because I'm not white enough.

TV: Hockey, Mythbusters, Arrested Development, Scrubs. I heard there's all these newer shows around but I don't watch much television these days.

Food: I run so I can continue eating everything I see.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
•Family, friends and pets. It's cliché and I don't care, life isn't worth living without good people to surround yourself with.
•Durable, comfortable shoes that can withstand my wanderlust.
•A sketchpad.
•Exclamation points, ellipses and unnecessary parenthesis! (I'm not shouting... I'm just excited!)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Was the monkey statue in the shrine of the silver monkey as difficult to assemble as it looked? It was three pieces arrrrrgh!

I want Olmec to narrate my life.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Not singing "Rock Lobster" on the victory drive home from work. Nope, definitely not doing that at all.

After that? Depends, what are you doing?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I love having breakfast meals. At midnight.

My brand of humor probably doesn't work well in text, oh well. Hakuna Matata.
