My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Disclaimer: I feel like I've wrote so much on my profile that I'm not really allowing people to discover who I am. The exciting part of really getting to know a person for me is through talking and meeting in person. If I start downsizing my profile, you know why!

Hey ya'll, my name's Bryant. He/his pronouns work for me. No longer living in Tacoma, but I do visit regularly for all you Tacoma folks out there! Fine with talking with folks located outside of WA.

This site has been really good at introducing me to some of the closest friends I have today, and I'm hoping I'll have the same luck :).

For the folks interested in dating: If you're NOT expecting Mr. Suave, you got your guy :p. I'm pretty awkward when it comes to romance and tend to not take it too seriously. Down the line, you'll find someone who loves sharing ideas and doing things out of the blue.

I switch between ENFP and ESFP if that matters :p.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Developing a more complicated view of the world around me. My experiences in the last few months have really impacted the way I see things. Been doing a lot of reflecting.

Setting up life-changing goals for myself. Never really been a goal-orientated person so this is definitely a good thing!

Currently work in social services which include being on-call at a homeless shelter in downtown Tacoma, working part time as a receptionist for that same social service agency, as well as working in low income, transitional housing.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Writing stories and poems, telling stories, living in the moment, being empathetic, being awkward, being too lax about many things (which has got me into trouble).
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Physically: My height. I tower over everyone :S lol.

Personality-wise: It depends on the day and who I'm with. Some notice that I'm a very sociable and loud person. Some view me as really intense and quiet. Some notice that I'm femme and I have no qualms showing it!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I LOVE BOOKS! I'm a nerd for books by Queer, trans*, and women of color, fiction and theory books being my main interests. (This is how I know I'm more of an N than a S for you Myers Briggs folks out there xD). Fav books: What Night Brings by Carla Trujillo, Linden Hills by Gloria Naylor, Redefining Realness by Janet Mock, Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver, Push by Sapphire, Another Country by James Baldwin (I would recommend this one in particular a million times over)

Tbh, I don't really watch movies or TV. These are my fav movies: Black Swan, Skin, Dreamgirls, A League of Their Own, Selena, Chicago (can you tell I like musicals ;) )? Watching bad movies and making fun of them has always been a fav activity: I've probably seen Showgirls way more than the avg. person.

Most of my favorite shows were produced before 2001. Don't judge me! True crime shows, 90's black sitcoms, old school cartoons, and reality television to an extent lol. I'm very slow to watching a new series.

Top 4 Songs
1. Go Deep by Janet Jackson
2. Diary by Alicia Keys
3. Sky's the Limit by Notorious B.I.G.
4. Rain on Me Tamia
Rebecca Black is somewhere on the top 10 haha...

Soul & R&B
The 80s and 90s
Old School and Underground Hip Hop
Smooth Jazz
Hard and alternative rock
I despise most mainstream music, hence why I'm stuck in the past!

Fav food: I'll eat anything and will most likely enjoy it.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Relationships: I wouldn't be the person I am without all the people in my life. And they all challenge me to be a better me.
Music: Just a warning, but I replay songs ALOT.
Books: Duh!
Humor: I'm the most comfortable with people I can laugh with XD.
Daydreams: I could spend a grip of time staring in the distance, staring at the ceiling, at a special someone ;D lol, and I might be thinking something completely random. I have very interesting thoughts that play out like movies in my head: It beats T.V.!
Love: This doesn't necessarily have to pertain to romantic love. Love of friends and fam are my life force!

What didn't make the cut:
Video games: ...I need something to occupy my time during breaks haha. Plus, I do bond well with people I can game with, whether they are a beginner or not :p.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
what I should write next, my feelings lol, state of affairs, race, gender, and queer stuff, community, relationships, practical methods of transformation, and how can I be my best for the people around me.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
inside lol. I just got off work. I'll occasionally want to go out, but sometimes making a cocktail, playing video games, and having good conversation is exactly what I need.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've been known to run into doors in dark well as falling on stairs in two story houses. Ehh, best I could think of ;P. Maybe you should ask me something you wanna know...
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You'd like to take the risk! I will message just about anyone. If there's anything I've learned to do from going through college is to allow connections to happen and to let relationships flow. I'm not about to purposefully prevent a potential connection from happening with another person UNLESS I have good reason to. So let's BOTH be brave.
