I talk a lot but getting things started is tricky for me. I am not
one of those people who jumps right in to friendships. I admire
people who just forge ahead fearlessly. I like thinkers and like to
hear about other people's stories. I'm honest and a caring person.
It was a lot easier in college to meet people. I'm not the type to
reach out so this is hard. I think we should have meet and greets
at the hardware store or the bookstore so you can meet people and
have something to talk about besides meeting people.
What I’m doing with my life
I work as an information specialist (business librarian). I studied
fine art - drawing and try to find ways to do that when I am not
working or doing stuff with my kid. I spend an inordinate amount of
time fixing up my house, thinking about fixing up my house and
I’m really good at
I'm a pretty good cook. I draw and paint pretty well - I have
exhibited very little, sold a few paintings and drawings and
co-illustrated a children's book. I am fairly handy - since owning
a home I have installed a toilet and a dishwasher (both of which
make me proud).
The first things people usually notice about me
My dark hair and eyes.

Punchdrunk Love, Sheltering Sky, Mifune, the Bourne series, the
Music: Soul, R&B, Jazz, Indie - varies.
The six things I could never do without
My kid, family and friends.
Movies, art and books.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Repairs needing to be done on my house.
Ways to keep my 15 year old entertained.
Ways to motivate myself to make art.
On a typical Friday night I am
Going out to see a movie. This is a favorite pastime. I like Friday
nights to be relaxing. I also love to hang out in bookstores and
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
That would be telling.
