I'm a genuine and honest guy, a bit of a hippie and very left wing, and I'm very geeky!

I enjoy meeting people, both in real life and through this strange box in front of me.

I love being in nature and going for walks and hikes... and I also like the noise and life and colour of the city by night. I love to travel and tend to find my way out of tourist hotspots quite easily. I like to make people laugh and cheer people up. Basically I like almost everything. Apart from fast food, Big Brother, the soaps, pigeons, Pot Noodles, Big Brother, the military, mullets, American sit-coms, American politicians, American orange cheese slices, Big Brother, white bread, human rights violations, Barney the Dinosaur, and Big Brother!

Yes, I've heard they're cancelling Big Brother, and yes, I have something just as annoying ready to replace it with in my profile.

I have a wonderful partner and we're polyamorous. I'm looking for friendship and fun, possibly romance, and to make some local friends who like to do anything from watching films to hiking Machu Pichu, and just about everything in between. I'm not interested in casual sex anymore. I prefer to know and like someone first, it just makes it more fun and passionate.

I wish I could change my profile name to CharmingAlien. When I chose this one I didn't realise how long I'd be on okcupid... or what a good site this is with so many lovely people.

I come from Mars. After uni I continued supporting adults who have learning disabilities by day, and I'm on a secret mission to take over this planet for my alien brethren by night!

I believe in part-time work, as in noone should have to spend 40 or 50 hours of their week working if they don't want to. I spend most of my time with friends and loved-ones, going out, staying in, cuddling my kitties, seeing places near or far, and enjoying life.

This summer we went to Chicago, which wasn't as interesting as rural Romania last year but it's a city that's full of life and laughs and it was great, with lots of pirates and dinosaurs.

Lately I've been spending lots of time going out to cabaret nights & benefit gigs, gay clubs, burlesque nights and theatre. Lots of chillaxing and nights in too.

My partner Sriana and I have met some cool people and we're looking forward to some nice trips and meetups later this year ;)

I like to play video games :P Usually online roleplaying games. I play Anarchy Online at the moment.

I'm really good at not making myself seem arrogant by typing loads of stuff in boxes like these :P

Actually, I'm not very good at that, because I'm great at cooking. I'm not veggie but I can make the best fucking nutroast you ever tasted, from scratch! And if you've never had aubergine parmaesan... just.. no, you are GOING to try aubergine parmaesan!

I'm also quite a charmer, but I'm good at not charming people that I know I shouldn't.

My accent, my dreadlocks and my bright orange or purple or green clothes probably. Or sometimes that I'm dressed up as a zombie or pirate or woman.

Star Wars!!! Sci-fi literature. Authors suchs as Iain M Banks, Dan Simmons, James Luceno, A.C. Crispin, Mark Steel, Douglas Adams, Asimov, John Wyndham. I love writing sci-fi and some other strange stuff and I'm currently writing quite a bloodthirsty jungle fairy tale.

I like most music, from alternative hip-hop to hippie trance to rock and punk to ska and reggea to indie and alt pop. Saul Williams, DJ Shadow, Deltron 3030, At-The-Drive-In, Psycho Bitch From Hell Analogue Pussy, Super Furry Animals, Primal Scream, Idlewild, Rammstein, Rage Against the Machine, System of a Down, Dresden Dolls, Jurassic 5, Godspeed You Black Emperor! and zillions of others.

I love to cook, mainly Italian and Mexican, sometimes Thai and Indian too. Half my family is Italian American so I know my way round the kitchen. The other half is English so I also know how to make Pot Noodles (but choose not to!) I must warn you, I *will* use my culinary expertise as a tool of seduction! ^^

I like alot of films, anime and action, dark comedies, just plain dark twisted stuff, artsy films, it's all good! Peep Show, Green Wing, Chris Morris's work, Death Note, sci-fi films, artsy dramas. Got a soft spot for stuff like Lupin and Spirited Away, and sexy stuff like Short Bus... love that film, it's hilarious! I just saw District 9 and was hugely impressed: astute political messages on the horrors of aparteid and modern day asylum seeker "processing centres", no Euro/ Amerocentricity, wonderful culture shock between humanoid species... and of course the huge ass alien guns that blow shit up! :D

My partner. People, places, animals, minerals and sometimes vegetables. Also, peace and politics, love and romance, what I'm doing in the coming week and why I never use my diary. I daydream, philosophise, and ponder quantum physics far too much.

But what is too much?
Could there ever be too much?
Is too little actually too much?
Can you ever truly predict the behaviour of the subatomic particles that make up the words "Too" and "Much", and if so how many dimensions and multiverses would you need to be able to exist in to observe them all simultaneously?

Probably wondering what bloody day of the week it is.

I'm not a very private person. If I am something or do something that's good enough for my own expectations of myself, I think others will be cool with it.

And if anyone is horribly offended they can always write to their local member of Parliament complaining about me, the Euro, and fortnightly bin collections.

I'm always looking for new friends, especially local ones who are into the same things I'm into, who are looking to hang out =)

Sriana and I are in a loving polyamorous relationship. We're very comfortable with it and there's no jealousy. So obviously I'm not looking for anything monogamous.

Apart from that, I'm very open-minded and have been open to meeting new people from the start, either alone or together with Sriana. Men or women. I'm bi, and guessing that if a man has read this far he's probably not the kind of asshole we'd like to filter out.

Polyamory is a bit different than open relationships. In an open relationship, two people sleep with others outside of their relationship, while in a poly relationship, that can happen outside of or within the relationship, but the relationship is open emotionally as well as physically to potential lovers and partners. Which means that anything is possible, from friendship with benefits to romance to long-term partnerships.

A very unpopular concept, but with honesty, compassion, and self-confidence it works for some people. So don't call the witch burners with pitchforks just yet, because I'm actually a decent human being just like you :P

I rarely send messages to people these days, unless they're poly or in an open relationship and I'm genuinely interested in what someone has to say about themself.
