Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I happen to be that person that people can't make out entirely and
I'm not exactly sure why. "... But he can be so loud! What do you
mean he's shy?", "Was that you skating by the window? I would have
never guessed" or my favorite "You speak Spanish!? I thought you
were Asian!". People seem to be constantly surprised about things I
tell them about myself, even if they've known me for a while.
I'm basically an unexpected smorgasbord of everything I've come
across and been influenced by, so I keep growing and changing over
the years. The mixed heritages and cultural upbringing, a
reinforced education, surprise experiences and an unorthodox
lifestyle has helped shape me. That funny looking kid you met in
middle school who spoke softly and read all the time? He learned to
longboard, earns a living by being social with customers and got
promoted because of his "dynamite personality" (0_o!) . Good thing
all that reading taught him random facts to impress his customers,
and apparently the owners of the restaurant =p
I go after what I want in life, even if I know it's near
impossible. I'll go at it for as long as it needs until it gets
done. Half of the lesson a lot of the time is just getting there
anyway. I'm very thankful that I've had the opportunity to learn so
much in this lifetime. I still have so much to learn!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work a full-time job at the moment, where I've started the
training aspect of my management program on top of my regular work
I'm also slowly but surely putting myself through school, and
continue my commitment to being an all-time nerd. Trying to
continue my spiritual growth and education in this year as well.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
being an interpreter, working with people, inserting and using
historical facts in a manner that is relevant to you today. I guess
that's why I'm an Art History
major. I get to use
various facts and sources to talk about (usually) pretty stuff.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I'm too formal and proper for my age group. People that met me
keep assuming that I'm in my late 20s or early 30s, even those I've
worked with for over a year and never bothered to ask my age. I'm
flattered I'm not confused with the many immature members of my
generation, but I'm starting to wonder if I should be offended on
the side that people are calling me old... haha.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I enjoyed reading The Alchemist
, One Hundred
Years of Solitude
,Pride and Prejudice
general, along with works by Paulo Coelho and Isabel Allende. I
don't read as much fiction as I'd like to, but I'm working on
I enjoy independent and foreign films quite a bit, and I'm actually
quite illiterate when it comes to American culture regarding film.
My favorite movie is probably Garden State
, though Le
Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain
might be tied for first place.
, Batman Begins
, Dark Knight
, Dan in Real Life
, The Family Stone
more obscure ones that I'm too tired to make a list of at the
moment. Blood and ice cream
of course, as well as Spaced
, which isn't really a film but
whatever, same people. So yeah, I haven't seen a huge amount of
movies, but I'm not completely ignorant either. At least I'm trying
to catch up.
My likes in music? Mostly I listen to stuff like Coldplay
, The Killers
, Shiny Toy Guns
, Motion City
, Matchbox Twenty
, The Faint
. Anything that sounds along those lines.
Nothing too wild. I can listen to a lot of music, and I have some
very varied stuff on my computer, but these are my staples I
I like food. No, scratch that. I love food. I can be found trying a
new restaurant on my days off. I'm also a sushi
lover, so I'm always up for a sushi
I've also finally started cooking real meals, actually making
ingredients from scratch. I've always loved food and the idea of
cooking, but had never felt confident enough to do so until now.
And what do you know, I'm not half bad! That addiction to the Food
Network when I had time worked out. Oh I guess the cooking Mexican
mother helped too =p
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) the Arts
2) A writing utensil of sorts
4) Edible nourishment
6) My family and best friends (they aren't things but hey, I
they're up there for ANY list)
If that's cheating, then
6) My intellect
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spend a lot of time thinking. Period. If you find me singing to
myself, it's because I'm taking a break from thinking serious
stuff, I've learned.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
working. It's typical of the industry I work in. My friends also
work odd schedules, so Friday isn't exactly the day to go crazy for
us. We might just get some food watch a movie in our living room
after work. I do like going out when we get the chance though.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have one tattoo, which apparently is unexpected to people given
my personality. Not many people get to see it. I actually love good
tattoos and I expect to have more done ink done this year.

I respond to most messages =)
However, it saddens me to have to add this but due to repeat
offenders, I ask that you please keep it classy and be respectful
if you want to message me. It will increase your persona points
automatically. Complete sentences are a definite plus.
