My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Obviously being in DC, I'm interested in the whole politics and
international affairs things. Since that's pretty much everyone
here though, I'm more interested in other things like music,
movies, and books. I can enjoy an occasional baseball game or
whatever but I'm really not into sports and definitely not into the
whole culture of sports and sports fans. WMATA is bad enough
without a bunch of Caps or Nats fans. I'm basically a carnivore but
I once dated a vegetarian and once lived with a vegan, so I don't
have any problems with people silly enough to eat rabbit
food.

I think DC takes itself way too seriously. Despite my job, I'm the
least serious person I know. Even my friends sometimes have a hard
time figuring out when I'm being sarcastic or serious. I often
laugh the hardest at myself.

I tend to go to a lot of concerts, mostly at Black Cat, Red Palace,
Rock and Roll Hotel, and sometimes I'll even get over my dislike of
930 and go there.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have a pretty typical DC job that I really enjoy.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Finding humor in any situation and making people laugh. Finding the most inappropriate and/or absurd thing to say at any given moment. I've been told I'm a good listener. I'm also really good at missing social cues.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably my beard. People have also told me my eyes.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Everything all the time at once. Sometimes I wish my brain would slow down.

I think about my job a lot, even after I leave.

I spend a lot of time observing situations and making jokes to whoever is around (or just myself if I happen to be alone).
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At a bar with friends or at a concert
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Some weeks I don't read the New Yorker OR the Economist cover to cover. The horror!

Also, the most listened to song on my iPod is Party in the USA. Rebecca Black's Friday is second.

You might think Ke$ha belongs in this section as well, but you would be wrong. I make it well known how much I enjoy her pro-beard music.

You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You can find humor and absurdity in everything. You're as interested in making a good joke as you are an insightful comment. You're interested in a variety of things and are eager to keep learning.

It probably wouldn't hurt if you like music, meat, and men with facial hair, but I keep an open mind.

It'd probably be best to not message me if you know who John Galt is, are part of Late Night Shots, or I'd need a car to get to where you are.
