I'm pretty damn funny; and I smile a lot. But when stuff gets real, I'm very solid.
My perfect day would be a long cycling ride through some beautiful countryside, lunch with a bottle of rose', a nice long nap with someone soft next to me, and then making a great dinner. Rinse, repeat.
My work is varied and interesting. I've got lots of responsibility, but it will always be a priority for me to make time for my family, my friends, my passions, and my relationship. I have a 17 year old step-daughter. I get to spend one or two nights a week with her; she is also going away to college next year.
And I have an amazing network of friends, in Seattle and beyond, who I travel, ski and go to France with.
I cook and I go out to eat. A lot.
I've take up road cycling this year and am pretty serious. Also mix up with yoga 2 to 3 times aweek.
I like to read lot of stuff, both fiction and non-fiction. Right now I'm trying to finish Les Miserables before the film comes out. My kindle says I'm 72% of the way there.
I've been exploring Buddhist philosophy and meditation for a couple of years. So there's that. I'll try not to bore you with it. But if you wanted to come along, that would be cool.
You don’t have to tell a good joke but it would be great if you appreciated one. And you don’t have to be the life of the party but you do need to want to be at the party every now and then. I love taking care of people but I also need to be with someone who can take care of themselves. I’d like a partner who is independent minded, passionate, and compassionate, who has learned a bit about themselves and a bit about the world, and who can appreciate the best parts of me and forgive the rest.
And I'm not as serious as this is coming off. And I grew a beard. So I should probably put a picture up of that!
