Update: When I receive messages asking why I have a profile on this site if I am involved and not looking to cheat, I will not bother to respond, and will assume the sender is too stupid and/or lazy to read my profile. I no longer feel it is necessary to be polite to people who question my integrity.
I would be amenable to meeting new people with similar interests for friends, but not if they are swingers or open-relationship types. That is effing creepy.
To expand on some of my "details" to the right; I do not, and never have, used any sort of recreational drug or alcohol. It is something I have always lacked any interest in. I guess I am straight-edge oby default, although I don't actively live that lifestyle. I am no health freak by any means, but I do not like having my mind altered by outside means. As for the atheism; that is exactly as it says. I do not believe in any gods. I am of the view that religious belief is actively bad for humanity. This does not mean I automatically dislike believers. I generally have respect for the individual, even if I reject their beliefs. I do not want children. This doesn't mean I dislike children. It has never been my goal to have any of my own. For many others, this is the biggest thing in their lives which defines them as people. I simply have a different view.
Politically, I consider myself mostly liberal. There will always be a few points from both sides I agree with, as well as a few from both which I find ridiculous. I would like to see the economy improve, and I would certainly like to see more manufacturing done in this country (in no small part because my job is one of those affected). I am 100% in favor of equal marriage rights for gays. There is no legitimate reason to oppose this, so I don't understand why it's still an issue.
While it may go against the established guy etiquette, I am not a fan of cars or professional sports. For me, cars are transportation only. I do not make a fetish of them. Watching a bunch of millionaires play games is equally uninteresting to me. I don't care if other people are fans; that's their business and they are welcome to it. It should not be expected, however, that I share their interest. The absolute contempt and ridicule I have for Nascar should not need elaboration. Aside from being mind-numbingly boring, it is not a sport. If Nascar is a sport, anyone with a driver's license is an amateur athlete.
After answering a number of the questions on here, I would like to add the following: There seem to be a lot of members who are obsessed with marijuana, and make it a focal point of their lives. If any of them are reading this, know that I find you stupid. Losers.
