But I hope you are reading my profile because you saw compatibility in the numbers and you're wondering what the numbers can't tell you.
I'm passionate about progressive education, which I could probably write a book about at this point (and perhaps someday I will). On the surface people notice that my students call me by my first name, I wear whatever I want, I don't give grades, I have a full time assistant, I have a budget I can never seem to completely spend, and I get full autonomy to teach whatever I want. But none of that is a true indicator of progressive education.
I adore all of my students. Yes, all of them. Work hard play hard has been my motto for a long time, but as a recovering workaholic, I'm now shifting my paradigm to living life with fun, play, and ease. I'm also a writer and aspire to be somewhat of the next Dr. Seuss, presenting social and environmental issues in a new light, whether it be science fiction/fantasy picture books, novels, or plays that all audiences would enjoy. I spend most of my spare time either reading, writing, dancing, conversing, cooking, dancing, meditating, dancing, and I want to start spinning staff for the flow arts. Did I mention dancing?
Healthy living is also important to me--i.e living a balanced life
. I'm currently working on sleeping more because I see how important it is, yet I am still challenged with this because there is always so much I love to do and accomplish. I eat mostly organic fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds, eggs, and meat.
Even more important to me is spirituality and nourishing my soul, but don't mistake that for religion. I believe God is Love, infinite, and the energy in all there is. Life for me is about exploring, expressing, growing, laughing, thriving, playing, dancing, creating, and loving.
I believe I am very open minded and authentic, and find it easy to accept people just the way they are. I don't get jealous....love is infinite, so I don't love one person any less simply because I love others, and the more I love anyone the more my love for everyone grows.
I could easily be happy a single lady for the rest of my life, but I now want the kind of growth that comes with a deeper primary relationship--with partnership. I'd like a life partner and I'm open to a marriage that would be uniquely defined depending on who the partner is. I am open to monogamy, open relationships and polyamory. I think I would do a bang up job as a mother, so even though working with children seems to be one of my gifts, I'm on the fence about having my own. Being a teacher I get my kid fix, but I think whether or not I have them would very much depend on whether or not I find a life partner I would want to share that experience with. I believe any path I take in life can be full of love and bliss :-)
